Thanks mate,
I am more into lighter skin gals which is why i would go where the local are going. disco is not my type so looking for local life band hangout bar that sort of places. Basically similar to BATs but remove all us Bule..nothing dubious about that!
Cheers
The answer maybe simple. Perhaps try the one-stop entertainment in the kota..? There are a number of places. Historically it's an area popular with people of Indo-chinese background, the Indo-chinese gals generally tend to have a slightly lighter skin. -when you mention a local live band, the 3rd floor in Stadium springs to mind.
Last week, I was impressed by the current quality of supply in Blok M, the number of bule patrons seems to have gone down. It can be quicker to find a girl in the blok, than to write an FR.. but that maybe applies to the whole of jkt, always has been, but it's early twenties and it's pretty(!) what's currently on offer, cheers.

coffee
Would much appreciate a recommendation for a place where you can drink a decent kopi luwak.
I know "Kopi Luwak" when you enter Atrium via the main entrance coming of the taxi ramp- and, in theory, you could combine the jkt mall hunting experience with a cup of the world's finest gourmet coffee's. In theory- the kopi luwak in Atrium is made and tastes similar to a very common Indonesian percolator coffee -burned.
With the low price of 16,5k IDR for a cup, I honestly doubt it's the real deal and much rather prefer the 100% Arabica coffee's served in Starbucks, Gloria Jeans, etc. but if anyone knows a better place to enjoy, bring it on.. thanks.

mobile networks
Interconnect tariffs in Indonesia were slashed some time ago.. it caused a sudden increase of new subscribers onto the mobile networks. It started in December last year I think, before that, mobile communication could be as good, or bad, as anywhere else, but now the networks seem as congested as the jkt traffic itself.
When switched on, my hp defaults to automatic network selection and somehow it got a pref for ProXL. Base station signal strength or preferred partner selection? I don't know, but it has caused me some grief and I am now convinced ProXL is bad for my nerves.
Manually selecting the largest Indonesian provider Telkomsel the better option -if it wasn't for being run by a fellow Dutchman. I haven't tried the second largest -Indosat, but using Telkomsel, I could access my overseas voicemail and could also make overseas calls without too much difficulty.

There's a kopi luwak place right next to Kemchicks in Pacific Place, not a bad cafe for hanging out in. The prices vary according to the proportion of the coffee that is kopi luwak: the 3% solution goes for something like Rp 20,000; the 100% stuff goes for something like Rp80,000.

Thanks Dinghy and Lama Di Bali !
Hi Bro Dinghy and Lama Di Bali,
Thank you for the heads up on this guy, what kind of man brags about the kind of things he had done and expect us to provide him info to repeat his destruction here.
It is hard enough for us guys to take photos of the girls, having this guy would drive the girls even more cautious. I will try to help even if not a lot, but this time I will an exclusion.
Regards

Kopi Jaimito
Hey, I wonder if I can get $600 a pound for some of my own "special" coffee blend. :)
-
Gonzo Two- you're great.. thanks. Found it: http://www.pacificplace.co.id/upublic/ Lower ground, opening hours 9.00 to 24.00, Mon -Sun. A low 3% solution may explain, they are diluting it too much.

Joel,
Thanks again. Never been to Stadium but heard a lot about its legacy.Went past main road front of Stadium today on me way back from Travel Hotel(again) but was in full alert when saw many police car parking there with one empty truck usually for prisoner so stay away...
Another impressive run at Travel today... This time it's Linda, 21, from serang. Look 7/10 body 7/10 .tell you the truth ,, i wouldn't pick her from the sofa but changed my mind when mama took her for closer look and found very shapely figure and 160cm height and friendly face.
In the room, wash me up thoroughly and another good ball licking session!! probably the best so far ..very recommended. she spend good amount of time down low andd seems to be enjoying it so much that i had to tell her to stop ,capped me and when just about to ride, told her to turn around facing me feet.. great sight from where i was seeing nicely shape body from behind and view of her pumpiing me.
Finished off in doggie style and off i go happy puppy once again. Will try other places next time since this had been 4 weeks in a row for Travel.
Linda can be found in the main hell on the left once you walk into the place.
Look for sofa with girls in sexy blus sarong.. This is another thing i like about this place, each sofa has different dress code for different mama.
There are sofa with tiger stripe, tropical Sarong, sexy mini skirt, and readhot Air Asia outfit. If they add a live band, it could become good hangout place instead of hit-and-run joint.
By the way, anyone could tell me how to spot Malioboro Hotel ? Is it true they have sexy/naked dancers everyday at 6pm?
Heard before that connexions from Batam-Spore, and Medan-Penang are fiskal-free for Indonesians, apparently to promote cross-straits economic cooperation or due to some historical links. Can anybody confirm whether this is true? May be too much of a hassle, though.
Best,
Panya
That applied if you are holding a Riau Island Passport for Bintang, Batam or any of those island. Otherwise, it"s Rup 500k which mean 50% cheaper then flying from the other ports.
Medan likewise, Medan passport needed.
Cheers
Ok, I've been hypnotised or am going thru mid life crisis, but recently met a hottie in Jakarta. Since then Ive invited her to Kl a couple times and shes joined me on some business trips around Asia when she can get time off from her work.
Hot playful 24 and perfect for an over 50 guy.
So heres the question of the day.. how can she avoid the fiskal payment.. at RP1.1 its another cost whether she pays or I pay.. and i still pay for the airfare of course....any thoughts appreciated!!! ( and no moving to JKTA isnt an option..hahahah)
Like I mention below.
Fly to Batam = About Rup 800k return. Book early cheaper.
Taxi to ferry terminal : - Sin 10
Ferry to Sin : About Sin 30 plus
Fiskal : Rup 500k.
Then fly Air Ais to KL?
Not sure if it is cheaper, I know many Singaporean take this route and also Indonesian. Warning though, the q at immigration in Singapore is very long on Fri. Special counter for Singaporen though.
Hope above helps.
Cheers

Joel Goodsen...
A friend of mine in JKT happens to be a Project Manager of major contractor which focus on In Building Connect (IBC)...many projects his office has accomplished (Telkomsel, ProXL, Indosat and others). He said that Indosat has very complicated conditions to build...in which made a very good connections not only on IBC but outdoor project as well.
FYI, I also a Telkomsel user.
As I write this, I am taking steps to cancel my application for Permanent Residence in Thailand, and am applying for Indonesian PR ... that is, until this relationship ends ... as it surely will.
To all mongers visiting Jakarta, there's something here that you just cannot find in the anatomy of other women in other countries .. it's called the GFE-spot .. my advice is to look for it ... it's really not that hard to find in Jakarta. Sigh!
(BUT, now that MDII is back in town, I guess things will revert back to normal.)
Best,
Panya
GFE,
Just wondering, is there real difference between Indo and Thai girls? They both seem to play the same game of GFE, love and behind our back seeing other guys giving us all kind of reasons why she cannot see you this week or a particular night.
Victim.
Cheers
I tend towards XXL's point of view. Since the demise of Tanamur over a decade ago, Stadium is the most democratic club in Jakarta. Anyone can go there, and practically everyone does, from your own pembantu on her night off to the President's grandchildren.
Certainly wouldn't assume that every girl at Stadium is a low rent hooker, or even "a middle class piranha". You find piranhas of all social classes there: the upper classes have sharper teeth and chew faster is all.
Totally agreed.
Rich girls from Kemang goes there after the club closes in Kemang to enjoy Music Selatan (South Music) which is loud but slower then Music Kota which is loud and fast like in Sand, crown, Sydney 2000 etc.
U find these girls only around 3-4 am....
Stadium music goes very slow for the drug to take their effect on the user and they are at their best only at 4 am....... Got a DJ friend there.
Cheers
