For somebody who thinks that is the norm, the Mansion might seem too expensive. Of course if they try to navigate el centro alone, at night, with no Spanish, it will probably end up being a lot more expensive.

So here's the thing about translators: their output often makes no sense. Go read some restaurant reviews on the Spanish google and then use the translator function. You won't be able to tell whether the restaurant is worth eating at or not. I will give two examples:

A hooker on the Argentina board posted that she was looking for "ready horsemen."

So the Spanish word [I]listo[/I] can mean two things, depending on which of the two Spanish verbs for "to be" it is combined with. Yes, lads, Spanish has two completely different verbs for the very commonly needed English verb "to be." And if you get it wrong, it can cause some problems. If you say to a chica, [I]Estoy interesado[/I], that means you might be interested in her. But if you say [I][b]soy[/b] interesado[/I], you just told her you are a mercenary, greedy, money grubbing person. The fucking translator won't know the difference and in fact will likely come up with the latter.

In the case of [I]listo[/I], if used with the verb [I]estar[/I] (which means "to be"), it means to be ready. When used with the verb [I]ser[/I] (which [B]also[/B] means "to be"), it means to be smart or clever. Then [I]caballero[/I] means a gentleman. It dates back to medieval Spain, when only the landed gentry were allowed to have and ride horses and the peasants walked or rode donkeys. It literally translates as a horseback rider. You put those two together and the hooker was looking for smart gentlemen, a very far cry indeed from ready horsemen.

Or you might think your companion is bored. If you ask [I]¿Estás aburrida?[/I], you have correctly asked her is she is [B]bored[/B]. If you use the wrong choice for "to be," and ask her [I]¿Eres aburrida?[/I], you just stepped in shit by asking her if she was [B]boring[/B].

Now my second example is priceless. Some Captain Save a Ho wanted to give his favorite hooker a ring. Not an engagement ring, but a promise ring. He was very, very careful to make sure he described the ring to her as a "promise" ring, of course using his trusty translator to ensure he had the proper word for "promise. " Well, unfortunately for this douche bag, the word for 'promise' and 'to get engaged' is [B]the exact same word in Spanish:[/B] [I]comprometir[/I].

I could give a hundred examples but you're going to step all over your dick if you rely on translators to communicate with hookers, or landlords, or anything else important.

Just two blocks up the hill from Parque Lleras, on Cra 36, there are two places to get a complete lunch for 9 k and 7. 5 k. One is a restaurant next to Domino's Pizza, and the other is a hostel just west of there. Across Calle 10 from Parque El Poblado on Cra 43 be, there are two little restaurants that have complete lunches for 9 k. Downtown, restaurants for that price are numerous, many on the second floor.

Now whether or not a SB is a prepago is up for debate. I agree the act of money for sex is a prepago. But having a SB be a tour guide that treats you like a BF, showing you local hangouts, making sure you're safe, doesn't try to rob you, and fucks you twice a day without treating you like a number. Doesn't feel like a prepago transaction to me. Besides what I got for all day and night with these chicas, I would never be able to get that with a mansion girl for the price I gifted.

But like I said it didn't come easy and it took a lot of time and effort to narrow down the chicas. I agree there is transaction because I wouldn't gift an SB unless sex was involved. Second, use the most accurate words. English is very flexible, but translators don't do well with that flexibility. Third, know something about the language structure. That way you can figure out which word is which. Go back and check to make sure you have the right word. If you type a single word into Google Translate you get all the possible meanings.

None of this is foolproof, but it improves your chance of being understood.

It might also motivate you to start learning the language. Not you in particular, but the people hoping to get by with just translate.

Usually I'm spending 12 - 15 k, when I'm not eating at home, but I've seen plenty of 9 k or less options. I think I saw a place at Estadio for 6 k, but didn't see what was included.
