One thing if you know they have a novio then you should know they don't have a need to approach you unlike the lower tier chicas who are living day to day these chicas as described are pretty comfort, and will just sit there until approached or see an easy target as you mentioned. The following are my observations regarding the difference between Sosua prior to 2008 and present:

(1) In the past it was much easier to pick up chicas during the day on the streets. Back then I used to make week long trips to Sosua and some trips I would not enter a club for my entire trip. All my chicas were chosen from the buffet on the streets and I used to have a wide choice and be very picky.

(2) In my trip in May this year and my recently concluded trip I saw not one hot Haitian. Back in the day they were a major part of the menu on the streets.

(3) Prior to 2008 "leche papi" was not in their vocabulary, at least I never heard it. The major problem for me back then were the star fishes but they never tried to short time me.

(4) Back then in Classicos there were non pro non Dominicanas who were available. I never had any but I know they were available.

I had several good sessions this trip and one bad. Overall a good trip.

Although it is not like it was in the past Sosua is still a very good destination for our hobby. As others have said you may need to bring a little game with you but even without it a fantastic time can still be had. My advice though is to have some street smarts.
