Airport to Sosua is about $80 so you still save including your return taxi trip. I landed in STI many times and it is always that gawd awful hour and at times, the flight is also delayed so sticking around until morning at the airport is a good idea. Once the light is out, grab a cab to the bus station and then the bus to Sosua to save money ($30 or so, all told) or a cab direct -whatever pleases you.

I had that same time of coming and leaving to ffl. I chose the car after hearing the taxi start their bids at $150. It was $175 for the car for 5 days with 2 free upgrade. I like it and its now an option when I am doing the north coast. Now we had mobility to explore other areas and our ride back. The ride is easy and can be done at night but shouldn't solo if you have driven it before.

I booked a room there today for $60 a night via [URL]Hotels.com[/URL] which was $20 a night less than the Hotel quoted me directly when I called them. Bummer about the one guest at a time. Suppose if there is a will there is a way and of course there is always Dulce Secreto if needed. Anyway, was getting a little tired of Terra Linda, maybe next time I will try Casa Cayena.

At the time my spanish was practically practically non-existent and had heard it would be 150 bucks to sosua. This said taxi said it'd be 60 bucks and waited for me for his taxi friend to come while he had passengers in the back. A lovely old man. Point being it may work out cheaper grabbing a cab unless you plan to use a car for your entire trip or you'll have to pay 50-100 bucks to return the car in puerto plata. Actually if you PM me I know a guy that can get you a good deal for car hire about 50% off RRP. Oh and don't stay in casa cayena, they have wooden slanted blinds that can never be shut instead of windows, so the room's hot even with the A/C on during light hours, stay at new garden if you can, service is also better there from my limited experience.

I negotiated $ 80 with the driver who works from Casa Cayena when I flew out of Santiago on my last trip.

Jose the maintenance man will gladly make sure all the shutters are shut if open in your room. The service is top notch at Casa Cayena from the cleaning staff, the bar / kitchen, and the office support.

A shower for both of you was part of the fun, no rush and you had time to get into it. In an hour or so you could get drained, so TLN wasn't necessary.

Now it's a quick trip to the bathroom, and she won't get completely undressed unless you insist. I'm speaking generally, of course.

What is good about Sosua, and surprises me, is that we don't have more complaints of guys picking up various STD's, because condoms are not mandatory.

In any other part of the world, I'd be scared to act the way I do in Sosua.

I like taking a siesta in the late afternoon, but it was impossible due to the cleaning staff chattering outside plus the noise from the washing machine.

Also, the bathroom didn't have a window, just an open hole behind the toilet out to where the cleaners were hanging up laundry. Several times when I was taking a leak in my bathroom, all of a sudden I was staring at a cleaner a few feet away. Not pleasant.

Apart from that, it's a decent hotel with very friendly staff and a good free breakfast.

I think more appropriately "condoms are negotiable" if one wants to bareback and a lot of Chica's are not going to go for it no matter what is offered.

If it was more GFE and people weren't changing partners daily, that could become a possibility. Even in the old Sosua the couple would have to known each other for a few days and entered a mutual comfort zone.

Plus from a guys stand point, we have to do our investigation. Look for signs of drug use, check for regular hygiene, is their phone ringing every five minutes, are they checking out other guys for future options etc.

These days, only an idiot would fuck without a condom. Some of those girls fuck more than a 1,000 guys a year and many with no condoms. If you have a dead wish I guess that is okay.

I wouldn't even contemplate bare-backing a Chica on a first encounter that would proceed because of a lack of condoms. I'm surprised that two out three of your Chicas where willing to proceed bareback with out requesting additional money.
