The old Passions will be called Amazones and open on December 4th. Rancho tipico just past Passions is real nice and away from all the craziness. They had about 15 girls in gold and black shirts that were all good looking and friendly.

Lou's bar is now a Haitian bar called Lynndas. Europa has new lobby furniture and the bar out front was kicking. Romanita and Maria from four roses are now working the Europa bar.

If anyone remembers the sisters that used to work Latinos bar, they have a nice spot at the entrance to the beach. It's some really hot chicas in Sosua now, I'm impressed.

Ollie's for some reason doesn't have his famous chicken sandwich, at least he didn't last night.

Sosua still doesn't have that " Good vibe" feeling of yesteryear. People don't seem genuinely happy, but they are making the best of it. Newgarden lineup has fallen off bad.

Maybe even hisself Mr Pooter, and Savepro would show up?

Speaking of the DR, I caught something here in the good ol' US trying backpage, 3-4 years ago so no screening is good enough or no place safe enough, but to each his own. As the bacterias and viruses strive to keep their DNA alive, the human beings have not done too badly either, given that we are past 6 billion, so our fears need to be put in perspective as well. Besides, no matter how hard one tries not to, one has to go!

On having a get together, I have met Frannie and another gentleman (who unfortunately had a serious motorcycle accident). I travel only alone and so it is hard to time it but then in life, "never say never" and thanks for the invite!

I was impressed with the beach yesterday, it was packed and so many beautiful girls (a lot of Extranjeras, some very beautiful in bathing suits in the sea) and so many 8-9 local girls showing off, makes it so easy to hook for some early afternoon action.

I am reading about some old places re-opening, so I was Talking with the Puesto #110 which I feel very comfortable with the owners, and they told me that past President of the Country took some bad decisions which were the main reason which tourism hardly decrease in Sosua, but they say that the current one is taking some right decisions which are bringing tourism back again; I am not sure if some of the past President (which I read yesterday at La Playa magazine that he has to be taken out of a New York very expensive restaurant by the back door, because a lot of people when knew he was inside gathered angry shouting "Ladron") decisions were part of the reasons of the Sosua tourism low, but I glad to hear things are getting on the right track again in benefit of the locals.

Also read Camaro great report and noticed he is interested in an apartment in Europa, so just to let him know that I saw a sign in the central window in the third floor with "For Sale" sign (you see it from the pool area) , no phone number so not sure if by private owner or by hotel.

IMHO Hotel Europa is only good as a cheap hotel option in Sosua not as a place to live long term.

Last night I was posted up at my scout spot "winners circle" and the girls again were lined up at Classicos at 10 pm. I went across the street to inquire and found out the girls were allowed to prepay for a guaranteed entry to Classicos later.

The tourist crowd is strong here during the day and at night they retire to avoid the p4 p action. I would say the pendulum is swinging toward the tourist.

I got to have a talk with my brothers; the older white guys had the fine chicas in Classicos last night and the brothers were either nursing their drinks or bringing in "miss piggy". Damn man don't bring fat chicas in the premium spots dude. Classicos need to have a weight scale at the door and any Chica over 180 pounds shouldn't be allowed. At 1 am Classicos was mostly white guys and the fine girls were either with them or dancing solo. Chief Justice you boy is balling here.

To be honest I don't see any particular point in getting together with other mongers to swap stories. Also since I don't drink or smoke, that rules out a common interest with many people.

Everyone has their own personal trajectory and will develop intellectually or emotionally at their own pace as they pass through the various stages of life. Travel to the DR and the various relationships and experiences I have had there now comprise a significant percentage of my adult life and personal memories, perhaps eclipsing other memories from the past that I would rather not remember, or at least not dwell on, and I am happy to leave it there. However I do still believe that people who have never traveled to the DR will find it a rewarding experience and lead them to question some of the conventions of life wherever they currently live.

Question of the day: Why do they not have Black Friday in the DR?

For example I rented an absolutely beautiful apartment in a beautiful complex in the DR for over a year and those apartments are for sale for a very reasonable price by US standards and something similar might cost millions in a high rent area in the US.

However I would not buy the one I rented, because it caught the full force of the sun in the early mornings and became unbearably hot in the summer. If I had rented the apartment in the winter, I might have agreed to buy it, then regretted that later.

If anyone is looking for a lease rental around Sosua I would suggest looking in the Caribe Campo area on the other side of the highway from the strip where the clubs and bars are, where there are a number of buildings where apartments are available that are quite spacious and rents are negotiable as reliable tenants (ones who will pay the rent and not wreck the place) are hard to find.

I would walk around and talk to people in the desired area and get phone numbers, or look at ads posted in lobbies. I would avoid real estate agents or other touts or "friends" who will surely be getting kickbacks from the landlord for an introduction.

It is a bit of a renter's market, so check out more than one place before making a decision.

You need to take into account the total cost of renting, for example is cable and wi-fi included, does the place have a backup generator or battery inversor for power cuts, is there a washing machine or laundry, does the place come furnished, are there sheets and towels, cost of cooking gas (in my luxury apartment central cooking gas was included in the rent, but usually you have to refill a tank), is there a pool, does the bedroom get early morning sun, is there a balcony or outside patio, does the place have air-conditioning (electric for a / c can run expensive), what are the arrangements for trash disposal, etc.

Like you, I too don't drink or smoke and I personally don't care for the p4 p bar scene! And understand what you meant by not relating much. That's not saying I'm ant****ial by any means.

That said, you are one of two so far I'd really like to meet in person when I make there. You sound straightforward, intelligent and socially conscious. I will be more in the Camaro boat: Making DR home base!

Indeed we spoke very little of women, LOL.

Just wondering how Sosua is for New Years Eve? Last year I was at Blackbeards. They had a New Years Eve Party. It was good until midnight. Once the clock struck midnight (actually 12:01) the chicas evacuated the place and it was a ghost town. There were parties on the beach but I was only interested in a party in my room.

I have been to Costa Rica for New Years Eve and that was a drag. The Del Rey was a sausage fest with one or two fat chicas walking around.

That is why I ask about Sosua. Been many time but never for New Years Eve. Hoping the party continues into the morning. Is Classicos open for New Years Eve? If it is the same as CR and BB's then I may venture to GLobe in Switzerland.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
