So with Ramadan starting Friday, May 26, that means a lot of Arab tourists have to actually leave a bit sooner. That is most likely the cause for the working girls in Pattaya having much less customers. I think for a week or maybe more before Ramadan, there is an influx of Arab tourists letting it all out before their 1 month fasting begins. Now that they all just packed it up and went back home recently, that is causing the crunch in their customer volume / income. I imagine now would be an ideal time to swing by Pattaya's nightlife as there should be way less guys in Insomnia now (won't be as annoyingly packed), and it seems that overall should be better prices and more available (hot) girls. I'll have to check it out next week.

Arrived Wednesday night for my third Pattaya trip. Initial observations are that it is indeed low season, crowds are small. The biggest thing I noticed right away is the evolution of Walking Street. Fewer agogo bars, much more carnival type games setup, even a frigging Mini-So store. Seems more live music venues as well, however they are enclosed establishments, I'm guessing to decrease the noise level. One underrated aspect of Pattaya for me is the live music. Living in China and 2017 being the age of wimpy pop music around the world, I rarely get to hear some rocking music I grew up with. I used to love hearing Metallica or Rage Against the Machine as I walked the street. Maybe because it's low season, I didn't hear any of the familiar musicians. Most had a female vocalist, which was disappointing. It was only one night so I may be mistaken.
