yes, all of your checked bags will be x-rayed. if anything of value is seen on the x-ray machine, they will rip into your bags and take it. even if your checked in bags are locked, they will rip into them. for example, an expensive camera. as for your carry-on, no worries.

as for condoms, they will leave those alone. they dont typically use them there.

on my ventures to the philippines, i have always brought hundreds of condoms bought in bulk from a condom supply website you can find on google. whatever i didnt use, it was all given away at the end to the ladies.

the real danger is in bringing the condoms back to the united states. customs is on "monger watch" these days and likes to go through bags looking for viagra, condoms, and especially pictures of the ladies. they want to catch someone engaging in **** sex. while we all are pretty good at checking identification and making sure the ladies are of age, no one keeps a file with the ladies identification or record of birth and asian women tend to look younger then their pictures appear. so it would then be up to a judge or jury to decide if the ladies in those pictures are 18 or older. you know how paranoid people in the us are nowadays and when they see an older male with condoms, viagra and pictures of what appear young women, this might set off alarm bells.

bring as many condoms as you want, keep your valuable stuff in your carry-on, leave all the condoms there along with any viagra or any other mongering related equipment. upload the pictures to a photo sharing website and delete everything. make sure the recycle bin is cleared to and make sure the browsing history is deleted as well. take extra measures and make sure that no one can simply undelete or go back through the history.

I would really appreciate any info on these chicas. I know its a long shot contacting them after all this time, but I would like to see how they are doing. Also, there is an extremely small possibility that I may have gotten one of them pregnant (only 1 time each bbfs). The whole thing has bothered me all of these years, even though I never got any STDs (thank god) and I realize the chances of having a child in the Philippines is less than 1% or so.

i was very lucky on my trip. on my way through nagoya i was told i had to check in my carry on for lack of room on the plane and to remove all my valuables. with no sleep and a head cold all i remembered was my camera. i forgot my camera and jewelry. after we took off for manila i remembered. got to manila. everything there. i believe everyone in the inspection room is video taped now? well wouldn't do it on purpose.

Manila vs. Makati vs. Angeles City

Recently someone sent me a pm asking me which of the above might be best.

Wow, an impossible question. There is already a lot of info if you RTFF. Nevertheless, it might be hard to put all the pieces together if your have never set foot in the Philippines. I'm going to give my take, but different people will have different opinions. I am the type who wants to do more than chase women on my trips and do enjoy mixing with the locals in areas other than the bars and beds.

First, Metro Manila consist of many cities. Makati is the business district, more upscale and features the infamous Burgos Street. Manila is where you will find LA cafe and is adjacent to the waterfront. The airport is in Pasay city as is EDSA Entertainment Complex. I highly recommend the EZ maps which are available most large bookstores like "National". Of course AC is a couple hours north of Manila. EZ also has an AC map, but there is also a map online which lists all the bars and hotels. I think it's "wayne's". Not sure.

If you are going to be in the Philippines any length of time, you should go to all these places. Prices vary, just ask when you get there. AC tends to be cheapest, while Burgos is often the most expensive. You can save money by having a cell phone and giving out your number.

There are many bars on Burgos and some truly stunning women. I was in one bar and a punter had a girl's breasts out. They were centerfold quality! Nevertheless, I rarely go to Makati for three reasons. 1) I'm quite happy with the petite Filipinas I find elsewhere -- I don't need centerfold quality. 2) It is more expensive - lots of expat businessmen in the area 3) It doesn't look much different than any other business district in cities around the world. I like to REALLY feel that I'm in a foreign country. It's been many years, but I think Jools still has a non-nude dance show which is well done. Take a date! Nice malls in the area for shopping and eating -- a lot of people recommend Havana Cafe for freelancers.

I like this area best because there are a lot of things to do both in the evening and the day time. LA Cafe and other bars (G point, Harry's, stringfellows) can be hit or miss. If I don't find what I want, it's not such a long taxi ride to EDSA Entertainment Complex in Pasay (several go go bars). LA cafe is in Ermita, is surrounded by many reasonably priced hotels, and is also near Robinsons mall, Baywalk, and other attractions. I like staying in Ermita. Within walking distance you can find the Malate entertainment area which is mostly non-sx related. Malate also has a Havana Cafe, but don't confuse it with the one in Makati as you likely won't find freelancers. Live music can be heard at several places. Lots of young people in Malate in the evening. From hotels Ermita you can find transportation to AC (see below) and Puerto Galera.

The north /south road that runs along the bay is Roxas and goes from Manila all the way to Pasay (south of Manila). I've stayed at Pasay (Copacabana Hotel / pool / $55) only when I was on my way in or out of Manila since it is close to the airport. There isn't much in the area to enterain you other than the EDSA complex which is located near the intersection of Roxas and EDSA Blvd. Of course there is the new Mall of Asia, which was recently opened nearby and the Baclaran market area. Another advantage might be that it is roughly in between the Ermita and Makati nightlife areas. EDSA is pronounced as a word. "ed" as in "edward", etc. Roxas is pronounced in the Spanish way.

AC
The first time I went here, I thought I was in heaven. It reminded me of my first trip to the Philippines when my ship pulled into Subic bay. You can find some stunning women here -- even on Santos St. (I just posted a picture today). I love drinking and sex, but AC got old for me real quick. I haven't been there in two years, but planning a return very soon. I try to get a hotel with a pool, as that can provide some daytime activitity. Although AC is cheap, you might want to factor in the time and expense of getting there. One way by taxi will probably run you 2000 pesos and 60-90 min of your time (assuming you don't hit bad traffic in Manila). This is enough for a Burgos barfine. Don't be penny-wise and pound foolish. I have taken a local bus there which is very cheap. Bus station is near the EDSA complex. For the faint of heart, try the bus out of Swagman Hotel. I think it runs at 11:30, 3:30 and 8:30 and cost is 500 pesos. Search for HarrytheHorse+angeles for more info about AC.

What reasonably priced hotels are next to Burgos St or EDSA or LA Cafe?

Someone told me about the copacabana hotel right across from EDSA. Im looking for a hotel thats under 40 dollars a night but not a rat trap.

Are the ladies just as nice as they are in AC? The thing I like about AC is that its for one purpose only, sex. The bars are right across the street from the hotels and you simply go across the street and bring the ladies back to the hotel. The ladies usually stay all night or until you kick them out. Its fun. Everything is reasonably priced. I can get a decent room for 30 bucks a night and the lady for under 30 bucks total (tip, barfine and all).

I guess I should read the thread, but like you said, its difficult putting all the pieces together and I'd like to know the whole story before I lay out money on a trip.

Prices in manils makati are whatever you want to pay. The prices there are skys the limit if thats what you want. You will generaly pay 100 you, S, per night bf and tip to the gal. Thats higher than a-see. Ladies drinks and regular food, drinkas and hotels are higher there also. I am sure someone can get you a 20 dollar room somewhere but who wants that in Manila.

All in all things there are higher, and the quality of service not all that higher. I am sure you get what you want low, or high end its up to U. Bring what you like stay where you like its that easy, YOU ARE THE BOSS.
