My advice would be to visit Palace a day or two PRIOR to the fair. Many extra girls will probably have moved in, but few men yet. That could mean an extraordinary great selection of girls who are fresh and eager to get going and with unbelievable female/male ratio.

My guess is that you were visiting Palace in the early afternoon. Then the lineup can be a bit thin, admittedly. Do yourself a favor and go again from 5 to 9 in the evening. Then you will get a different picture.

If you follow my suggesting and still see only 2-3 good-looking girls in Palace, then your tastes are more discriminating than mine. But still, f*ck those 2 or 3, and all is good ;)

Is there a website that shows the schedules for the various large shows? I would assume that all things being equal, those would be times to try to avoid. Besides the obvious "strain" on the Palace facilities and girls, the hotels in the area are higher priced and with far more severe cancellation policies.

just came back from the palace (i visited for my first time this winter)

this is also my second time in frankfurt and i am shocked at how quiet it is both in the rld and over at the palace as well for that matter.

the rld which used to be near 100% occupancy when i came last year are maybe 20% full the only exception being the asian section in komm.

this was my second visit to the palace and i arrived at around 830.

took the train from the main train station

(it was an easy trip the only glitch was i couldn't find industriehof/ neue borse stop on the machine to buy the ticket)

i realized i was supposed to just get an einzelfahrt frankfurt for 2 euro and it seemed to work out ok.

the folks at the front desk were helpful and friendly though the entry price had gone up to 75 euros.

i believe the safe box in the lockers were new and were a nice touch i was a bit bummed to see that the regular masseuse was not there today. not sure if they converted her work area to another room as it was covered in drapes otherwise the atmosphere hadnt changed too much i am always impressed by how nice the interior is.

the ratio of girls to guys was actually quite good, much better than my initial visit. i think the fair is starting tomorrow so i took somebody's excellent advice from the forum and showed up a day early.
