Guadalajara

First, the bird's eye view: Guadalajara is a feasible option when one is desperate to escape the sex prison for a few days. It's well-connected to the USA with several daily flights, it's efficient to get in and out (no covid test required to enter Mexico) and half-hour sessions at local places can be had for 600-700 mexican (current rate is 20 mexican for 1 usd, so $30-$35). BBBJ is not included, extra charge is common, between 200 and 500 mexican. It's not as great as Brazil, and the talent selection is rather limited, but I found it to be accessible and safe-ish, with not much BS.

Transportation: Guadalajara airport is very sensible and easy to get through, both inbound and outbound. Breezed through the immigration and customs, was riding Uber about 20 minutes after the plane landed, and got to the hotel about half an hour later, still less than 1 hour from plane landing. Going to the airport, basically the same story in reverse.

Hotel: I stayed at a no-name place near Plaza Del Sol (easily within walking distance to Hobbie Inn and Palacio). That area is very safe and walkable, although not very exciting. But then neither is Guadalajara as a whole.

Covid test: things can get complicated with it. There are 2 pharmacy chains that offer antigen test for about 350 mexican, and 1 testing lab chain "salud digna" that does it for I think 280 mexican. All of them require appointments, though sometimes the appointments are available on the same day. I visited 4 places like that with no success before I learned my lesson. Eventually got it done at a farmacia benavides, where they made an appointment for me for a few hours later in the afternoon.

Other things.

Money: most places take credit cards, my visa or mastercard worked for 95% of what I needed, although there were a few places that only took cash. ATMs also generally accept foreign cards, though Santander bank doesn't. Be careful. ATMs can run out of large bills, and they usually give you warnings before dispensing stacks of cash.

Food: generally more expensive than other places in Mexico, though still cheaper than in the USA. I had surprisingly hard time finding guacamole.

Gambling: there are several casinos in the city, I visited Winland Casino and Casino Majestic, both are within walking distance from Plaza del Sol, both are dark-ish and depressing. I was there in the late afternoon, and there were no table games active except for one baccarat table with one player. However, there was a lively crowd of degenerate gamblers pushing buttons on the slot machines.

Fun: there's a circuis!! Also near Plaza del Sol, on weekdays has 2 x shows in the evenings and on weekends it has 4 x shows throughout the day, tickets are only 100 mxn. It has clowns but no animals. Performance level is kinda similar to decent street performers, but overall it's an unusual distraction and it's much cheaper and a lot less pompous than the dusoleil thing.

Other than that, museums are open, the downtown historic area is open as well, and walking tours are available.

The hobby.

I am going to be very brief. I visited several esteticas masculinas (Hobbie, Paloma VIP, Palacio, Top Flight, Luigui, and Mr. Rubio). I also ordered from alexscorts. I don't remember any of the names.

The only place I visited several times was Hobbie. They have the most selection (3-4) and hot water in the shower. Paloma had a girl with a terrible attitude, this was the only girl whose name I wish I remembered so that I could warn others. Top Flight had only 1 girl who I didn't like so I didn't stay; Luigui was open but with no girls; Mr. Rubio had a nice selection of 3 girls, one of them quite likeable. 1 hour is 1300-1500 at these places, hhr is 600-750, BBBJ is extra 500, and there's basically no negotiation on those. There's a ton of those places sprinkled around town, so there's room to explore.

Ordered a lovely creature from alexscorts. She showed up exactly on time (even 1 minute early), the cost was 1500 + 200 for BBBJ, she hugged before the deed and cuddled after the deed, and would probably do it a second time if I wasn't too old for it. She stayed for the full hour (even a few minutes extra) and I'm very happy with the experience, will repeat.

Question for the regional experts: what island/ beach destination would be safe, reasonably priced, and good for the hobby? Guadalajara would have been perfect but there's no ocean, and I have a strange desire to sit on a balcony and watch the waves when I am not meeting lovely ladies.

That part of town near Plaza del Sol is more upper middle class so the cheap food would come from the street carts. The east side of town will have food prices for the more frugal among us. I have not found any of the coast in that part of Mexico to my liking. When I am in GDL I prefer to go to the pueblo magicos in the hill country. The town of Tequila is close by and an easy day trip for example.

Perhaps others will have beach suggestions.

[/QUOTE]I don't mean specifically in Mexico, I mean generally in the region between USA and let's say Colombia. Colombia is too far for me logistically to make a weekend-ish trip worth the effort.

In the old days I liked Jaco in CR exactly because of that. I could get a hotel right on the beach at a reasonable price, and bring some reasonably priced beauty there from that bar where beauty was to be found. But now as I understand things have changed in CR.

You can stay on either the US or Mexican side and enjoy the beaches or go south to Ensenada.

Well I'm happy to hear you had a semi good experience in GDL. I'm confused on what exactly you were looking for or to do when you mentioned that it's pretty boring. Also not sure what type of restaurants you visited and what you wanted. I've found many great places to eat in GDL. Usually I am a steak guy so I don't know if you ate just more traditional Mexican food. Next time you visit if you do I'd recommend Santo Coyote. They have a bit of everything and certain times they have traditional Mexican dances. Also if you order guacamole they prepare it at the table for you.

First time in this Guadalaraja thread and even considered moving there from the USA. After reading the last 11 pages in order to see in general what this city offers, the conclusion that I've come to is:

-- All BBBJs are an extra charge, unlike my experiences in Brazil, DR and Thailand where it seemed standard.

-- If all I wanted is a BBBJ (no other sex, I'm sometimes lazy) like I experience in BJ bars in Bangkok, the price in guadalajara for only a BBBJ will start around 1000 or so mexican pesos due to there always being a standard charge for the girl plus an upcharge of around 500 pesos for the BBBJ.

Disappointing, as 50 US dollars for just a BBBJ is too high, no matter what city you're in, in the world. No relaxing solo BBBJ for me, at those prices, I would be forced to bang as well (sorry USA girlfriend). Looking forward to returning to Thailand, that's for sure.

Am I understanding anything incorrectly here? Still think I may visit, but definitely concerned that haggling over prices and dealing with upcharges on all kinds of services that should just be standard may take the fun out of this trip. Happy I didn't read anything in the 11 pages concerning outrageous stuff like an upcharge to touch a girls' tits (but maybe I would have, if I read the last 20 pages).

Much less action than Tijuana but a short bus ride away and if you have some game perhaps get one of the ladies to visit you. I have thought to one day do the Progresso-Merida angle but alas have not been able to pull that trigger. Family always got in the way. One day.

BBBJ service is considered extra if it is even offered. Some ladies will only commit after they feel comfortable with your hygiene. If your a repeat customer some of them will do you deals on price, service, etc. But that would take time and as always YMWV.

Tijuana I am concerned about going to because it seems to me that it would be an overcrowded border town where I'd have to be on my guard every moment. I don't like crowds and I don't like un-safety. In Cancun, I kinda figured out where I can walk around and where I can't. Similarly in GDL (seems generally a safe place) and CDMX (generally unsafe but tons of options for incall and there are street taco joints everywhere).

For Progresso and Merida, the logistics of getting to them is something of a challenge. No easy airports nearby.

My dream destination would be some island where I could plop myself on the beach and every few hours go get a girl or arrange for a visit. Then when I get bored I could walk into town and get a local version of a taco.

After reading this thread, I am planning my first trip to GDL in late October. I finally signed up for Twitter and have been researching and finding women that I would like to meet on my trip. Sorry about that. I didn't know that I couldn't do that. I'll refrain from doing that. I can see that getting a SIM card is important to get data and Google Translate working. I hope I can pick one up at the airport. Does anyone have info as to whether you can do so at the airport? If not, I did read that you can go to the local OXXO convenience store to get one. I don't speak any Spanish so hopefully saying sim or chip and pointing to my cellphone will do the trick.

No worries getting one at the airport but you may have to wait for a bit as the Spanish speaking mob will beat you to it. Next option is just get to your hotel and ask the receptionist where the nearest Telcel shop is. Cheap and easy.
