Hi All,

I'm new to Quito and am enjoying reading all your reports, but I don't know the city at all and I can't tell how far it would be for me to get somewhere. I am staying in the northern part near Parque Carolina and spend a lot of time at Mariscal / Plaza Fosch. Can anyone tell me of a good place nearby? Many thanks!

Going to be in Quito for 3 nights towards the end of August. I am staying at the Mercure Grand Hotel Alameda Quito, Roca E4-122 Amazonas Ave.

EC701. QUITO. I wonder if there are any good and safe massage parlours with extras or other entertainment places anywhere nearby where I am staying.

passed by 122 on my lunch break today (1:30) and did my customary peek in and push on the door. and a guy opened it. i said,"estas abierto?" si. i told him i'd come back later since i only had $12 on me and needed lunch and a ride home later. and was not expecting it to be open. can't vouch for what it's like on the inside, or the girls now. but this is definitely welcome news!

The SwissHotel is nice but like a county jail and you are escorted to the elevator each and every trip through the door, the JW bar is much easiet.

Happy Day! 122 is definitely open, door guy confirmed that it opened yesterday. Definitely some talent in there, too! I have a new to do list. Went at 4:45 today, wasn't too crowded, nice mix of girls. Missed seeing that girl that was always right at the entrance with the fake boobs and killer abs. But I went with a nice 20 year old named Karla. She told me I was her first ever gringo. Aww, how sweet. Nice heart shaved into her pubes. But seriously, almost no working girl here is completely shaved, which is odd. $2.50 entrance including small beer. $10 ficha. Slightly different now, the rooms are in the adjacent building, you have to walk across a courtyard. So happy this place is back.

On another note, maybe a useful piece of hotel info. When I came to visit in February I stayed in Centro Historico at Hotel San Francisco de Quito. Crappy room, but nice overall hotel, good security, great location, $30 / night. I brought a girl (non-working) back from Bungalow (yes, not my smartest move, but figured the hotel would have security) on Saturday night at 3am. No ID check, no one said a word. We hit it off and spent Monday and Tuesday night together as well. Again, no security, nada. When I checked out I got a little surprise. $25 / night for visitor fee. Fuck, if I'm going to pay that, at least give me some security. So seriously, fuck Hotel San Francisco de Quito.

Republica between Av Diego de Almagro and Av Eloy Alfaro, at the right hand of the IEPI building, right in front of a bus stop. $3 to get in (includes a little beer). $3 a little beer. $20 private show or sex (but you pay $1 extra before you enter the room). +o- 20 girls. 18:00-02:00 from Monday to Thursday. 18:00-03:00 Friday and Saturday, the close hour depends on how many people is there and is better to go after 21:00. I went Saturday at 5pm and today (Monday) at 12 noon. Nothing. The guy cooking in the restaurant across the street said it's closed, gone.

PS I hit El Swing both times after finding 122 closed, and it was really lame. Saturday there were about 1, 000 guys and a few girls running in and out of the rooms. Today (Monday) there were plenty of girls but nothing appealing. It was my first time in El Swing and I don't like it. It's kind of dark and creepy with a bad layout. So I called a number I got from Que Barato classifieds. They have a little apartment on 6 de Diciembre by the 24 mayo theater, a few blocks north of the soccer stadium. I had some great luck there earlier this year with a girl named Katy. Katy's not there any more but the madam who works the phone and does the assignments assured me that they had some new fresh young talent. I showed up and a very tan, chubby very unattractive creature answered the door. I declined. (The madam also told me that Katy wasn't there any more because she died in a car accident. Which I have confirmed is a lie, but OK whatever).

I'm really striking out today. I wonder where all of the young honeys from 122 went.
