SP is good, but Moscow the sky is the limit. Decent budget and some hard work you will love it. You can not go wrong at either destination.

Did Moscow a long time ago on a Weekend package tour with an older Family member, went to the Bolshoi for a very lively performance of Swan Lake. From what I remember and photos I still have, Moscow was huge, different to any European City. . I wasn't old enough to monger but I did score with a Finish Girl tourist similar age to me in her Bedroom at Intourist Hotel Moscow which was a huge complex used by tour groups mainly from Finland. I still remember that she was going on to Leningrad, SP to catch the ship back to Helsinki with her group, the well known Booze Cruisees.

What I really hate, is being tied down with fixed dates and booking accommodation on The Russian Visa as I like to travel on a whim and Ukraine, Poland are perfect for that. Cost of travel to Moscow from London is no big deal.

I never use Airbnb anywhere, a centrally located hotel with a lobby, bar, room service, or even better a Night club on site as in few other EE destinations is how I go about planning my mongering trip.

Not really fussed about hard hunting online or venturing out too far to nail any girl. Salons in the centre or close, Strip Clubs, clubs are just fine by me even if I don't find anything that I like as I don't live in a mongering Desert.

My info is a little outdated, but there are maps of both individual girls and salons in that area (and many of those listed as individuals may actually be salons of some kind). But they are in Russian, so if you can't read Russian you may need to try to use the automatic translation function on the chrome browser to translate the whole pages automatically as you open them. Not sure whether it will work on maps.

There are lots of salons, but for my taste nothing interesting. About Rubinstenya, a scammer hotspot. There are some fancy bars, but the women are very snobby. It depends really on your standards.

So for the first time in well over a decade, I will be heading back to Russia early next year. This time SPB, not Moscow. I was hoping someone might be able to provide info as to what currencies should be used. Did not see anything about this in recent postings. Last time I was there, the protocol was paying with dollars, crisp new bills, old bills were outright rejected. In my recent research for SPB, I am seeing prices for salons and independents quoted in Rubles, Dollars and Euros.

From your experiences, are there any preferences? Rubles okay? Or best to stay with $s or Euros? I would welcome any input and suggestions.

You might get somebody to accept dollars or euros if you don't have anything else, but it is not the norm and it can't be taken for granted. If you do try with dollars, it is still best to to have crisp new notes.

Getting roubles out of an ATM is safe an easy in Petersburg.

Pay in Roubel and only in Roubel and only cash. Bring US $ or EURO, say 1 000. Exchange 50 at the airport in Piter, after baggage pick up, prior to customs. Safer. Bad fx rate. Take ekonom taxi for 1050 Roubel (15 US $) to anywhere in the city center. Book that taxi after customs but before leaving the gated area. Safer. This way you can ignore the 50 sharks who want to sell you a taxi ride. Once in city center, exchange a few hundred US $ or EURO. Makes you liquid in Roubel. Avoids going to a teller machine which may only allow150 US $ worth of Roubles at a time. Of course teller machines are ok and not risky. Look at modeli-spb. Club. Some weeks ago I was in a salon in Piter. Last time (maybe in the summer of 2019) I was in this specific salon the price was 3 k for hour, incl. BJ covered. So I went there, chose the girl, after 5 minutes she came back: Here is the towel, there is the shower, do you want some coffee or tea? Yes, please black tea with no sugar. When she came back I said I will pay the difference in my next visit. She said "xorosho". Some days after that I asked my friend who is a PRO monger about the price for that specific salon, and he confirmed the current price is 5 k for 1 hour.

I hate to negotiate prices with a WG, this is not for me. Call me a sucker, but I usually pay the prices they ask me for (if it's reasonable and I can afford that).

Now for a change of subject. Some weeks ago I was in a salon and inside of the room there was a sign saying "If the girl gives you her contact data, you will get 1 hour sex for free". IMO it's strange to write this in the room. What should we understand from it?
