Rio de Janeiro Reports

I have the impression that Brazil in general and perhaps Rio de Janeiro in particular are more accepting of prostitution than any other place in the world.

I have read that pimping and brothels are technically prohibited, however so long as the providers are over 18 that is completely unenforced.

Even in countries which legalize prostitution, it is still carefully regulated and monitored, in regards to limiting it to certain areas, health check ups, mandatory condoms, etc.

Even in countries where prostitution is illegal but widely practiced, the police must be properly bribed, police raids occasionally occur, etc.

In Rio however it seems as if anything goes. So long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, then do anything you want to, whenever you want to, however you want to, anywhere you want to, for free or for pay, so long as you aren't butt naked in the middle of the street, go for it, have fun. And during Carnival maybe middle of the street is OK as well.

It seems to be a uniquely liberal attitude toward sexuality (although I'm sure a few other places are not far behind).

Does this sound about right, or am I misunderstanding something?

Apparently the Israeli government got a deal with Pfizer to vaccinate everybody in the country on condition that we close the country off so that the effectiveness of the vaccine on 9 million people can be studied. We are temporarily locked up Guinea pigs, but this may change any week.

How has COVID affected the sex industry in Rio? With the absence of tourists is it a buyers market due to high supply and low demand or it hasn't had much effect?

Anytime you board a flight to Brazil, it is full of Brazilians, not full of foreign tourists.

Go to Sao Paolo and look at all the stores and restaurants that went out of business. Also show me an average Brazilian that can spend 700-900 reals in a terma every night they are in Rio.

I said that sex tourists can not affect the sex industry in Brazil. Which termas, sex club, privee, clinica, boate have you ever been in Brazil that was full of foreigners or even was as much as 10% foreigners to 90% Brazilians? These things exists to cater to Brazilians; a couple of foreigners just happen to stumble on to the places every blue moon.

How many foreigners do you think have been to this place in the middle of bum fuck that costs 250 to get in, 100 for the room, and 700 for the girl for 1 hour? They even give coordinates for helicopters. Maybe tons of foreigners are flying around Brazil in helicopters that they felt the need to list it on the website, which is not even in English.
