When going to Thailand I always liked the freedom of going where I wanted, and where the mood takes me. Stick with your 2 nights in Bangkok and then hit Pattaya either way you will enjoy it for sure. Post your travel dates on the forum and meet up with a few people! There is a number of cheap taxi options to get from Bangkok & Pattaya and does not take to much time.

Most of all enjoy it as it's a beautiful country, and you will leave thinking of how you can get back there again. Try not to fall in love!

Appreciate the help. I will be traveling alone so I definitely will post the dates and look to meet up with fellow mongers. I seen Windmill was hit back around March and a guy got caught with trousers down. Which was in my top 5 places to visit in Pattaya. But still getting great reviews lately so I guess it's business as usual. Planning my hotels based on balconies and location so going to book in advance to make my first trip smooth.

So. It's been one week since I've paid for TF and Badoo membership. If you remember, I bitched about TF not being ineffective and I'm getting almost zero meaningful replies even though I'm polite and follow all recommended actions.

I'd like to give you some updates, especially since I am so lazy about writing reports back. So after one week:

1) I've sent over 90 messages in TF, opened 28 chats in Badoo. Damn Badoo nickel and dime you to death for everything.

2) I've gotten roughly 20 responses from TF, about 4 of them meaningful and gotten Line IDs from 3.

3) Badoo I've gotten 2 responses and 1 of them was a Ladyboy. Oops! Gotten Line IDs from 1.

4) About 8 (TF + BD) old and scary-looking mamas initiated chats, and a few 6's said Hello, without me initiating chatting.

Almost all the girls have heavily photoshopped faces, but lucky for me, many of them also uploaded pictures revealing that they are really 6's and 7's. About 10% of them looks very hot (9's 10's) in all their pictures.

So out of all the efforts and spending around $100, I've gotten one hot (9) taxi driver that *might* come out to DMK airport to meet me and drive me, and 2 bar girls (7-8's) I've promised to message me on their ID. I guess I can't say it was waste of my time and money, but not sure how reliable these leads are. It might have been better to just go with bar girls since I'm only there for 4-5 days.

Day 1.

Landed in Swampy around 12.25 pm, after about a 15 minutes delay. Luckily there was little traffic at the immigration counters. Also I tried the older trick of going straight ahead.

To find a immigration center near the baggage carousel which was assigned to my flight.

I booked Mr. T Taxi again this time. I've never had an incident with then before so I thought I'd use the same again. To my surprise he only quoted 1000 THB which was the same amount he asked in 2014. At least one thing is not affected by the inflation.

Now I did a stupid mistake again which is I couldn't remember what the arrival gate number 3 means. I managed to stupidly waste 15 minutes trying to find my driver. In doing so I went from all the way left to right a couple of times. But finally I found my driver holding my name card. Phew!

Something funny happened when I got into the car. The driver's partner (or wife I guess) was in the front seat wearing an all black burqa. Now the car was inside the not so well lit car park and I've got to be honest with myself I nearly screamed out of fear as I just happened to see her when I just got in the back seat.

The drive to Pattaya was alright, he clocked 120 km / h most of the time so we were here around 1 and a half hours as I remember (or may be a tad more).

LK Metropole.

Last time I chose LK Renaissance. I liked the location very much so this time I thought of going with LK Metropole as it's closer to LK Metro. A 56 sqm room was around 56 USD per night. This is a bit more expensive that LK Renaissance. Now after coming into the room, I have to mention that I am not too happy. The room is very spacious, but all the things seem to be quite dated. For example the switch boards feel like they are about to fall off. A part of a tile is missing in the bathroom and the bathtub also seem to be quite old.

So my recommendation is if you are planning to stay here, maybe reconsider your options and see if there's something better for your money.

But for anyone who's going to chose LK Metropole, I've got a small life pro tip for you. If you are the sort of person like me who prefers the bum gun when one is available, make sure that you don't push the handle all the way down while pointing the water stream directly at your asshole. You are guaranteed to fuck your own ass with an extremely high pressured jet of water and believe me it's not the most pleasant surprise.

I've only had 2 hours of sleep last night. I knew that wouldn't be able to stay up for a long time. Sorted out the clothes and went to 7/11 for some beers toiletries and etc. On the way back bought a prawn pad thai from a street vendor. Back in the room had a shower and a shave.

It was still 6. 30 pm and decided to lie on the bed for an hour.

Champagne.

In my 2014 trip I went to Champagne many times. This was during the daytime as I remember they used to open at 2 pm. I only figured out that they now open only at 7 pm. It's a shame as they used to have two shifts. Are there any daytime gogos left now?

Anyway in walked in and it was around 7. 40 pm. There were about 10 girls on stage dancing away slowly. Man I thought I'm lucky to be back. It was evident that there were not many customers around. May be 10 altogether. I guess it's because it was quite early and things are in the middle of the low season.

The next couple of hours was trying to get my damn phone's mobile data connectivity working with my new Thai number I got from 7/11. I had no luck but adding a manual APN fixed it apparently.
