It's on Banda St, one block and a stone's throw from the old site (which is a parking lot. What a waste) and has no sign up yet. There's a place called Noma Caffe (right next to it and a guard sat outside. Hope it gets busy.

I've been meaning for some time to write a little bit about what I've been up to, as a thank-you for the excellent information I've had from this forum.

I visit Nairobi a couple of times a year, usually only for a few days; this time I will be here for several weeks. I usually stay at the Intercontinental, so my first observations are from there. If you're lazy and in need of company, in the evening there are almost always a few girls who will catch your eye and smile, either in the bar by the pool in good weather, or in the (slightly seedy, IMO) bar indoors. I've occasionally looked in the casino, but never seen any girls on the lookout there. Offer them a drink, talk about shit, invite them to spend the night.

The front desk will want to check them in, and usually keep their ID card (sometimes they'll photocopy it). They will also have you sign away $50 for double occupancy. If you're going to be doing this for more than three nights a year, sign up for their Ambassador club; in addition to waiving the double occupancy fee it gets you an automatic upgrade when you sign in, and some minor other benefits, so well worth it at $200/ year.

On a trip a while back, I accidentally discovered the extraordinary power of Tinder in Nairobi. I'm in reasonably good shape, and have photos of me with skis, motorbikes, scuba etc. But I'm also 57 years old, and don't conceal it. When I first got onto Tinder in Nairobi, I accumulated 15 highly attractive contacts, all keen to chat, in just half an hour. Absolutely nuts. Only issue is the walk of shame in the very busy lobby. Guards are rent-a-cops that have no interest in the hotel. The desk is run by idiots. Had a cleaning lady intentionally walk in while I was in mid stroke on a sweet young thing. The room was already cleaned, and she saw me bring her in. 680 is just another downtown dump IMO. This is my second visit to Nairobi, and second time to Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi Center.

On my first visit, in 2013, I found the massage places on Tubman Road and had a good time for a reasonable price. My lady there was not a hot young spinner, but she was fun and friendly, attractive enough, and she did not rush me. YMMV; I would go back. My buddy also had an experience he was happy about.

I have just arrived on this return visit, and have not yet had my fun. I did, however, have the nerve to ask the concierge if I was allowed to invite a lady to my room. He assured me that I could. They will always register her for my safety. If she arrives before 8 pm, there is no charge. After that, they charge US $64 (in addition to you paying the lady the fee you negotiated with her). Obviously nobody would be happy about the surcharge, but it is better than being forbidden, especially if you do not have your choice of hotels. And if you are flexible enough to go with a lady in the afternoon or early evening, it works out fine.

There's a bar here that I have not been into but looks like the kind of place that would have hotel girls. They won't be cheap, but then, perhaps that is what the $64 fee is for, to protect their market. I assume most hotels get a fee from their lobby girls, if they regulate them at all.

I asked because of the extensive security, and many hotel men all over in the lobby, including the Concierge which is right next to the front door. I'd say there is a slim chance of sneaking one in. Given that, I decided to ask.

Everyone advises me that it is much too dangerous to walk around City Center after dark, and dark starts at 6:30pm. Too bad, as I prefer to walk to a bar, and sometimes back to the hotel. But the taxis are said to be reasonably safe. If in doubt, you can always ask the club to call you a reliable taxi. If still in doubt, you can take a hotel car and have the driver wait if you don't expect to take long. Of course, hotel cars are not cheap, but then, this isn't London, either.

The Intercon is a bit old and does have some problems. Some rooms have trouble staying cool; mine last night would not go below 25C. I have a "renovated" room, which looks like an old room in an off-location Hilton. Last time I had an "unrenovated" room and it needed to be renovated. Aside from this, i don't have any issues with the place.

I welcome any comments or feedback on any of this.

There are a number of places that offer massage, some of which might also be hairstylers. You can take the elevator to the top floor and poke your head in to see if there is anything you like. You may not find top-shelf young hotties like at the clubs. For me, friendliness and intent to provide good service outweighs looks, and I have found a good balance of price, attitude, service quality, and appearance here.

The shops may open as early as 9 AM, and probably are not opened too long after dark, perhaps around 8 pm closing, but I imagine it varies.

Recently I went with luck of the draw at the first place. She was 28, shapely, neither skinny nor fat, maybe a 5 overall by my taste. I like the variety of going to bars, massage places, online and simply picking them off in the street with regards to Kenya women. The girl I had was about a 5 also that was thin. Another girl came in later that was not as good looking and plump. These massage chicks are never dimes because hot Kenyans can demand more shillings via other routes, or are being kept by a Kenyan with money.
