Anything I've read on side effects concerns allegations of young girls getting seriously ill, dying, etc. Sixty year old men tend to have weaker immune systems than the young people who usually get the vaccine.

Rather than asking for a blind diagnosis from the forum (they cannot see what your problem is), why not make an appointment and show a medically qualified practitioner what the problem is and take it from there?

Quite often people get infected with 2 or more sexually transmitted diseases at the same time. And only one of these infections might show symptoms at first, but no the other.

The pimples might be a sign of your whole body being infected. Some sexually transmitted diseases start out only as pimples or sores at the site of infection. But eventually this infection spreads to other parts of your body and damages your whole body.

Making the pimples go away doesn't mean that you got rid of the infection. And it doesn't mean that you have only one infection. You might have two or more.
