I spent a few nights there myself over the last few years. The place is a bit run down and some of the counter corners are chipped off etc, but the fridge is working and so are the fans, and the location simply can't be beat. 4,500 KES for a double presently, I believe.

There is a similar place right next door plus you will discover several others as you work the beach.

Then prices went steep up so I move to Mtwapa but the downside was a compromise in accommodation security. The security guy (Askari) always sleep at night. Its so easy to break in or to pay 1000sh in order to hack as a legitimise guest. Then the attack will initiate from inside.

You can visit multiple times without problem only because of the nature of statistics. You can feel safe not only in the hotel but also as you walk at night to Casaurina. But this is an Illusion. Its like the Antelope herd crossing the river while the Crocodiles in the water. Sometimes the Complete their journey, sometimes they have small or big injuries and sometimes they totally out of luck.

I was working with the police multiple times when I was a resident so I have broad idea about what's going on. The hotel owners and the police will tell you that they have never heard about a single incident for the last 10 years.

For me only one of big hotels in Diani with more Guards then the CIA HQ in Langley will make me feel safe. Until then I will keep going and coming back safe from Asia or other African countries.

Lambada possible if you book and double room, but very expensive this time. I was September and October there and Christmas / New Year again. I have booked an apartment in Mtwapa, similiar but cheap and for my girl and me enough. Where you come from? Shere a beer, why not?
