Not only do many of us have different home currencies, exchange rates can vary quite a bit in even in a short period of time. For those reasons it makes sense for punters to state their Thailand spending in baht, and people can work backwards from there.

SL.[/QUOTE]Actually, nearly all my costs are expressed in USD on my bank statement. I simply added up all the money I spent and divided by the number of days I spent away.

I travel so much that I automatically convert currency numbers. I now keep up with five currencies, but that's only because of work obligations. If you only travel from your home country to another country then back home, stating it from your bank's currency seems logical.

However, the general rule-of-thumb for currency is, state the currency of the destination unless speaking to a fellow countryman.

The only exception to that rule is speaking with long term ex-pats. In which case, location currency is preferred.

I won't begrudge anybody who states their own country's currency. It's a natural tendency, even though it isn't the best etiquette.

At least you aren't trying to shake hands using your left. Now that's an unforgivable offense!

After Kevin in Thailand video today I've been looking into Phuket and Hua Hin. I'm thinking about doing 4 or 5 days in Phuket instead. I'm a younger guy looking for younger ladies. I'm 25 and not into older women at all. A week of hot 18 year old would be ideal. Would everyone agree here Phuket would be a better option for the 18-23 age bracket? All the information and videos I've looked at seems lot hotter / younger ladies in Phuket.

ThatGuy68, Phuket is a poor choice for mongers if you want young working girls.
