We are close in age, but I sure don't let my age hold me back regarding mongering activities! I will average close to 3 girls a day over a 10-day stay, ideally with a mix of Soi 6, BR FL, WS FL and gogo girls. No, I hardly come with them all. I wish! But one just has to decide what they want to do. A typical newbie, and remember we are talking about newbies, will probably be fine with 6000 a day. But if said newbie thinks they will be drinking a ton and wants to live on Soi 6 during the day and bring home the hottest of the hot from WS for LT each night, then he may want to bring twice this amount. For me, I will bring $2000 per week for mongering and misc expenses (no hotel). That is usually twice what I will spend, but if I decide to hit up DD for a couple of three ways, and hit up Sky Fall or Peppermint a couple of times a week for LT, I will be prepared. Better to bring cash home than run out of cash and have to curtail your activities. So, newbies, add up the prices to fulfill your dream, double it, and you will be fine. For those with limited funds and who don't know if they will ever be able to come back, bring as much as you can and do all you can!
As far a rules go, I think we are going overboard. The "rules" shouldn't tell us what we have to do, IMHO. I think the intention is simply to give some guidance to newbies to help them out.
Completely agree.
I understand that Walking Street must close at 3 am now. What time do the bars there generally open for business? What time will I find a decent number of girls showing up in the bars? Just trying to understand my window for play time. I see lots of posts about people reporting about activities on Walking Street but nothing about Walking Street's opening time.
I understand that Soi 6 now opens at 6 pm and closes at 3 am, I guess I'll cross that place off my list for daytime activity. One YouTube video I saw said that some of the bars on Soi 6 were open earlier than 6 pm but only serving soft drinks. That's fine with me if there are girls available, but another recent YouTube video I watched showed Soi 6 as a deserted ghost town with all the bars shuttered up during the day time. So, are the beer bars there opening a few hours earlier than 6 pm but serving soft drinks?
When I was there in June, every day there was one or two police raids on Soi 6; the demand was that they not be open during the day, only letting in customers for a drink after 6 PM. Made me monumentally pissed off. So next time I'm in Pattaya, I'll need to find a replacement for afternoon activities. My body just does not do well sleeping for 8 hours more after the sun comes up so I can party and drink from 7 PM until 3 AM before going home. This one thing in and of itself is IMHO one of the worst things to happen in quite a long time.

Can I go to Walking Street and get action during the day or do I also have to wait for evening there also?
Hi guys,
I am really loving the reports of late about the Pattaya scene in general. I have never been to Thailand before, but I have had short visits to Indonesia, and I am finding same same but different. I think the main difference's are the religious cultures of both countries with the majority Muslim Indonesia a bit more modest in public. I still need to RTFF a lot more but I am really enjoying the insights and I can't wait until February.
Thanks.
First off, FLHawk, you are a monster and a freak of nature. Bagging 3 girls a day, every day, for more than a week? I get tired even thinking about that!
Well, if I could release each time then perhaps I might be considered a beast, but those familiar with my reports know I have great difficulties releasing into a bag, so I am not a beast. Most any reasonably healthy man can get it up a few times during the day and do what I did, which is quite easy on Soi 6. Just start on one side of the street, pick a girl, then after her pick out another one and, after her, even pick out a third. It is not a huge deal. Don't ever-exert too much and simply enjoy being with a pretty young girl. I do think the frustration of not be able to come with one makes you want to try again! But I am not a beast!
Hey gents,
Been a while since I've been on the site and I'm actually planning a trip to Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya) later in the year. So far I have penciled in Nov 1 - 15 on me flying out there. I remember another ISG member mentioning he was planning on going out around that time but mentioned something about getting wet in Oct, will it be dry by Nov? Also another ISG post mentioned around mid-late Nov the selection starts picking up as the girls start flocking in will Nov 1- 15th be too early? Thanks for the tips.

I usually go there around 9 pm when there are a decent number of girls and customers already, certainly in high season.
Well, Soi 6 used to be my favorite spot to day drink. Now that it's gone, where do you all think is the best place to get a cold one during the early afternoon?
Here are a few places I can think of: Hooters, 5-star bar, Tahiti Queen, That beer bar complex on BR, and the beer bar complex near the entrance to WS.
Where is your favorite places to get a cheap beer and watch people walk by?
I'm entirely open to new places, but I would prefer to watch the waves and beautiful girls.
For those that know the place: The owner (and his Thai wife) of 'Hoek van Holland' in Jomtien has been murdered this week in Amsterdam (reasons unknown). Owner was apparently well known in Pattaya for his bar but also for his Thai Boxing events.

I am usually finishing up a LLT and don't get the system reset and going before 7 PM anyway. So the new hours don't' really bother me.
And I really like the thought of Ibar getting going and closing earlier.
You can always buy the cheapest beer at 7 Eleven and walk to the other side of Beach Road.
LOL, I could do that, but it would destroy the mood. I'm not much of a drinker and I get bored very easily. Sitting by myself with a cheap beer sounds depressing. I'd much rather sit under a fan at 5-star bar and enjoy looking at the pictures.
Where do you gentlemen day drink now that Soi 6 is dry during the day?
I've been reading about the action shifting to Soi Honey and Buakhao.
For the ex-pats that are active before dark; where do you enjoy a beer with your friends?
Honestly, I rarely interact with farang when I'm in Pattaya. I can count on one hand all of the interactions I've had over the years. I talk a lot for work, so I'm naturally quiet during my holidays. I find it relaxing, but it isn't conducive to meeting new people. This trip, I wouldn't mind meeting some of you blokes. All of you older veterans have plenty of secret Pattaya knowledge to share.
So, where should I go to enjoy a day beer and make some new friends while chasing beautiful young ladies?
You can always buy the cheapest beer at 7 Eleven and walk to the other side of Beach Road.
The down on their luck beer drinking farangs seem to cluster around BR at Central Pattaya Klang, although you will have to learn to chain smoke cheap SMS cigarettes if you want to fit in LOL. Cheers!

Let's forget about where to get daytime beer for the moment. The more important question is where does one go for girls in the daytime?
Soi 6 doesn't open until 6 pm. Walking Street doesn't open until 8 pm.
Where do I get girls from 1 pm until evening? -- assuming that I'm not interested in soapies or picking up random girls from 7-11. I mean, yes, I realize that if you live in Pattaya, you've got a long list of contacts that you've built up and that you have girls on tap 24/7 and getting a girl is never more difficult than ordering a pizza.
But if you're the tourist who is visiting for a week, where would you recommend this dumb Farang to go for the easiest / best line-ups of girls during the day?
Or are dumb Farang American tourists just out-of-luck during the day?
