Ok fellas, need some advice. Was planning a trip in February, but my #1 spot is booked all month. Yes, I know February is the middle of high season. When this happened in the past, I'd just move my dates around, but I'm pretty locked into some dates this time.
I always planned that if this happened, that my backup spot would be Europa. Only problem is, I don't know how they work. Do they do reservations? Or is better to just walk in? If they do reservations, do they actually honor them?
I know some dudes like E and Grownman who just walk up and grab a room, but I won't be driving. So. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Approximately 4 months ago I think Wifried kind of kicked them out as they would always being hanging out on the couches in the reception area. Very interesting development Mr E. Diego is no longer the owner of Europa, an Italian guy owns it now. I believe Europa is still a walk-up hotel but they are being proactive and trying to lock clients in before they arrive. Glad to see you aren't going to have your Dad sleeping in the car in some Sosua alleyway LOL. There are way too many hotel options in Sosua for any hotel to be asking for deposits.

My bank, Schwab, allows me to take $4,000. USD per day, the ATM that I use allows 10,000 pesos per transaction. Yesterday I withdrew 30,000. Pesos in three transactions. Keep in mind that the ATM is charging you a fee for every transaction, this ATM charges 175 pesos so I was charged a total of 525 pesos to withdraw the 30,000 but Schwab reimburses me for ALL ATM fees and does not charge a foreign transaction fee which most USA Banks charge anywhere between 1 and 3 %. Schwab is the best if you travel a lot.
