An STD outbreak (real or imagined) at the local watering hole is after all what separates the mongers from the weekend warriors. As Big30 note below, life, and especially FKK life, involves this risk. These "epidemic" (please note the quotes) fears are basically groundless. At least from what I have read on the boards recently. Had I the funds to back it up I would be there tonight to prove it to you.

Not sure which is more troubling: The reported STD "epidemics" at Artemis and World or our panicked reaction to them. It still seems to me that the guys with the problems should go drink a drugstore, then call up Artemis and World and let them know what the situation is. They're running a business and the last thing that they want is one of the girls running around spreading bugs on the male guests' johnsons, and scaring away customers.

And while I appreciate the warnings, they really do none of us any good unless we decide that the risk is too great and that it's time to retire this hobby once and for all.

One little STD ain't the end of the world. Best way to handle it is to get the meds and let the club know so they can deal with it.

Seriously, from speaking to various girls it seems Artemis are pretty hot on this and test the staff regularly.

I get the feeling this scare maybe getting out of hand.

If I was due a trip to Berlin any time soon, it wouldn't stop me from visiting Artemis.

I think the problem is that 9 guys out of ten that do get an STD at the FKK clubs do NOT report it to the club. Why? Because they are ashamed.

Do german doctors report to the clubs?

Do foreign doctors report to german authorities? I don't think so.

Regarding your point about guys that get STDs that do not tell the girl or do not tell the club I agree with you. During my times in this hobby and funnily more often heard in the FKKs are other fuckers that do get STDs but just go get it fixed then go back to the hobby like a duck to water.

Some do report it to the club but the occassional feedback is that they want to return to that club again and to create a fuss may be a black mark against them by the club and by the girls who hear of it. You become tainted by being associated with having a disease. So these guys consider this and do not make a fuss with the club. It is good to hear these stories from other fuckers. Locals and non locals. I have heard it from both sides.

I totally admire the men that do write on this forum and say that this has happened since their good conscience says that they need to warn their fellows. It is interesting that this STD spate of stories comes out now since I did hear some more stories from locals when I was last in the clubs. These guys as far as I know do not post on any forums. They are just locals. I ended up doing something a bit different which was not in the clubs with a safer bet.

You assume a great deal here. While I'll agree that an STD can be an embarrassing thing to deal with, I really don't see why one would be ashamed to inform a club about it. Call up the folks at Artemis, ask to speak with the manager, tell them when you were there, who you were with and what you caught. Fertig! You could also mention that you are a member of a known MB where info about FKKs is exchanged and that you were thinking about informing your fellow posters about the situation. Not that you actually do it, but it would certainly get their attention.

Again, no idea what you mean here. I know a few foreign Docs who get their jollies at german FKKs now and then. Not sure that they register their visits with anyone ahead of time, much less the German authorities. You're probably right there. ;-)

Well, I'm niot at all sure what bearing this has on the discussion, but I'll bite. Thankfully and knock on wood, I've been fortunate enough to avoid picking up anything more serious than a cold during all my years of debauchery. I'll also come clean and admit to having played this game somewhat dangerously a few times. Not advocating it, and in fact I strongly advise against it.

I'm not one of those "brave" guys you mention, and I'm not totally "unafraid" but I did make a decision to engage in this hobby and while I try to play it pretty safe (and do indeed long for the days when "Gesundheits Kontrolle" were "pflicht") , I'm not all that worried truth be known.

I'm also not prepared to get on this or any other MB and paint a picture bleaker than it actually is.

Out of the handful of guys I know closely in this hobby, there is one instance of STD and that is from around 3-5000 sessions (best guestimate). For me that is acceptable risk. In 10 years of FKK'ing never heard anyone catch anything that can't be cured with a simple doctors visit.

No. I am still waiting for your answer about how you did your math calculations, the FMEA analysis. But also why you think that based only upon 2 non-confirmed reports, only on this board we should conclude there is an epidemy in Artemis. There is no formal prove for that.
