Why do ST visitors think they know more than LT visitors?
Just a curious observation I have made in the 21 months I have been posted up here in Thailand. In fact some people still call me a newbie and they don't even live in Thailand.
I have noticed that there are lot of posters who do not live in Thailand willing to tell others who actually live in Thailand what to do. Then you have the people that actually live in Thailand who give provide insights to others who don't live in Thailand but who have NEVER told anyone else what they should be doing.
So far, so good. I am not experience any of the the sky is falling, chicken little issues others are screaming warnings about. I am have NO problem with Thai Ladies. I am have more mental acuity, I am a peace with myself, and under less stress and I am exercising regularly. I have a better over all lifestyle than when I lived in the Dominican Republic and Colombia. Life is so good for me that I really don't ever want to leave. I hope The Kingdom continues to extend me invitations to spend time here for as long I wish to stay. I think it is a win / win situation. A far cry from the negativity I see constantly expressed in many of the Thailand threads. Mostly by visitors. That makes complete sense to me. Why would a person choose to live someplace they do not like to live. I know I wouldn't. Of course I don't know why someone would continue to visit a place that they have complaints about either.
Lately I have received so many suggestions for other places in the world that are better for International Tricking than Pattaya or greater Thailand. In my opinion, there is really no need for all the negativity. If you don't like Pattaya just visit another location. It is pretty simple.
Sizzler. There is more than just beef on the menu. Those in Thailand know this!
Funny thing, when I go to Sizzler neither I nor the special girl in my life (here in Thailand) order the beef. She prefers the pork steak. I prefer the pork / chicken combo plate. When I am there I see a lot more than just individuals from the United States of America dinning in the restaurant. Any one else proffering any other ideas about the success of Sizzler knows very little about restaurants, the eating habits of tourists or Thailand. My understanding is that they serve Australian Beef which I have found to be superior to the growth hormone laced version of US Beef that I avoid like the plague as much as possible here in Thailand.
I was a brunch chef for two years to earn money to pay for university. The one thing that I have not found a decent version of is pancakes. I mean a IHOP style or Cracker Barrel Style of Pancakes. It is the only thing I miss from the United States of America. As I have found during high season my fellow Americans to be THE worst Farangs in Thailand.

Sizzler went out of style in the US 20 years ago

How you like my sow?
Lived in California all my life (I'm over 60), and I stopped eating at the Sizzler around 2002. The meals were just awful, even the salad bar. I'd rather fight Tyson to get inside a Denney's than go back to Sizzler.
That's how I like ME now! LOL.
In Thailand thry have a good salad bar

Do you have anywhere you would like to suggest for a steak restaurant here? I going to sell some of the Thai Gold and some of the profits to take my favorite girl out to dinner. ROTFLMAO!!
*When you see me bow!!
*How will you know it's me? Look for the gold rings on both hands and the 1 Baht gold chain hanging around my neck!
