Well Palermo, all I can say is that you are certainly a change from the kind of guys who usually post here. In my usual tactful way, I would say: what a fucking waste of time, energy and money. Peru is completely different from Buenos Aires or Medellin. But if you enjoy seeking out some hardcore pros in whatever normal bar setting you can find, then have a good time. You probably wouldn't enjoy any of the chicas I know. Good luck.

Not bothered, and certainly not offended. Your post seemed to suggest that you were roaming normal bars looking for hookers. If that isn't what you were doing than I retract my comment. I suggest you concentrate on the night clubs such as Emmanuel, Club 69, etc. etc. where not worrying about spending time and money is a competitive advantage.

If you're looking for bricheras (God knows why) look no further than Sabor Peruano on Pizza St any night of the week. The entire left bar when you walk in is littered with them. You'll see the same girls sitting on the same stools all the time. I've banged a few and the last one I hooked up with told me her friends told her not to go with me because I'm a "casero" "misio" meaning I am a regular and don't pamper them with blackberries and trips to Cusco as many gringos tend to do. In Peru generally the adults celebrate "Dia Criolla" which is Peruvian Folk Music Day. Some of the bigger bars might have Halloween Parties.

About my visit to Lima and around Peru last july.

I talk spanish very fluently. This helps a lot in Peru.
I usually travel during hot season, which is quite different from the cold season there was in Lima that time. Hence, at least for me, chongos of any kind were far from being useful.
