I arrived in Guangzhou the day after the newspaper article on the crackdown was posted. I saw a SW every night in front of my Hotel near Ouzhuang station. They were good looking, only asked for 400 RMB. I got great service from them. No clock watching. Each one stayed at least two hours. Everything was on the menu. Never got a no at any attempt. DATY, fingers, BBFS, DFK. 2nd pop, etc. (I didn't attempt anal). It was like getting that quality service in Thailand. I recently visited Guangzhou during winter and what I did I is I went to BP to find a service provider, usually what happens is.

You call they ask for the hotel number so they can find where you are usually its about 1,000-2,000 rmb I wouldn't worry about the police to much.

They don't usually do their "job" unless they have to and when they raid a place its usually because of narcotics in one of the Donggguan places.
