Does anyone happen to know if there's any work for English/Spanish language teachers in Manila or Cebu?

Obviously alot of people speak English, but not all?

I'm a white guy from Wisconsin who just happens to speak excellent Spanish.
50% of my appointments at work are in Spanish. Tagalog is perhaps 10% Spanish, mostly nouns. The farther south you go in the Phils, it seems as if I hear more Spanish verbs. I have come across a few women on the net that work in Spain but for an income teaching Spanish in Phils I just don't see it happening. Maybe somebody else can enlighten both of us.

Why would a pinay or anyone in the PI want to learn spanish.

Let alone pay to learn.

in regards to manila, i have several 18 & 19 year old university student gf's there so my info is based on conversations with them & discussions with friends & contacts. yes there is work for english teachers.

spanish i'm less sure of. probably yes but only small number of teachers needed for this i guess. understand that in the past spanish was once the language of the upper classes. rarely so now. there are pockets of spanish speaking communities here & there in pi.

the two offiical languages are english & tagalog. every kid gets an opportunity to learn these when they are at school. university students continue to have english as part of their curriculums. getting a job as an english teacher in a university would most likely be much easier & have the added benefit of easy access to 18 - 22yr pussy. the work is poorly paid.

i often wondered if the foreigner teachers in the universities were there for the pussy. in my silly westerner way i have stupidly asked my gf's directly if the teachers mixed with the students. i always got the inscrutable asian non informative reply. i changed tacks & casually mentioned to each girl that i was thinking of becoming an english teacher at uni. bingo! hit a nerve! every girl said no! no! no!. when asked why they all said 'i get very jealous if you do that!' a little tactful digging elicited the admission that some (many?) uni girls have liaisons with their teachers for favour & fun.

if you are considering 'going native' then you must understand that pi is a closed cronyist economy. you cant buy a house here. you can buy a condo. you cant get a job here. you can obtain permanent residency if you are married to a local. this will legally entitle you to work.

guys do come on tourist visa's, stay & get jobs as english teachers without the paperwork. flying under the radar like this carries the real risk of deportation if/when your are discovered.

some guys get here on legit academic arrangements.

others board members may have corrections/more info.

i include an example of the quality of pussy you will be exposed to as an english teacher in a manila uni.

one pic shows a teacher aquaintance (not me) from a manila uni sitting amongst 18yr old students at a party. he's no oil painting right? he gets pussy.

this girl went on a dirty week-end with me to tagaytay. i really enjoyed fucking this chick. like most cherries i encounter in pi she was very tight but keen & loosened up well after a couple of rounds. so shy, got into the bath clothed the way the bathe at the village pump back in the province..

Guys if your sick of Manila & have some time on your hands take ur LT BF's or GF's there. its nice to be in a place where you are not entering a hotel in a conga line of fat old foreigners with tiny young Pinays.

It is like a campus hotel with many rooms. The students are mostly from Korea studying english. The hotel and the school is run by an American with Philippino wife who owns the whole compound. To tell you the truth I forgot the name. I am sure you will find it if you search for the hotels in the area.

I was friendly with him. He said there are many such places teaching english to students from Korea, Japan, China, Indonesia. The place is like dormitory including lodging and buffet food for the students.

Students were very friendly and invited me and my Gf to out partying to local clubs at night. My GF got really jealous and I had to drop the idea. As for teachers there most of the teachers were Philippinos. Although there were couple of caucasians.

I do not know what the salary structure is like. I believe not much. But if you are single and they provide lodging and food you are already set. Socializing with visiting students may not be a good idea. But local Phi girls are fair game.

I have been to philliphines for the first time 3 weeks ago. I face an unique situation, would appreciate some insight form you experience mongers. I met a girl on line, she works at the apple store in manila, which I actually confirmed during my visit. She claimed to be virgin, however when we got to act she was so loose that it was unbelievable. I mentioned it to her and she said that is fine it will be good when I have baby. The delima Iiface is that is she wants to get serious. From her demenor and character and where she works I like to beleive her, but form the physical side it makes me highly suspecious unless. It is possible a girl can be like that and be virgin. I am too embaradsed to ask the doctor here, adn hopefuly was hoping some of you her can help me out by sharing your opinions. My main concern is not if she is a virgin or not. But is she lying. If the later then I am setting myself up for serious problems.

On a seperate note does any body have suggestions as to what is the best bus service to take from manila to banaue and places to stay and other recommendations at banaue and bataad. I could find any info on the forum. Or limited on the web.
