Genuinely asking for help.
Hello guys,
I am new to Pune and to this forum. I know we shouldn't be asking for handouts, but seriously, I genuinely need help. I am a little bit familiar with the forum rules, and I want to follow them, as I do not want to upset the biggies here. So, coming to my situation. I came to Pune last month. I was working in Mumbai in IT firm, but needed some growth, so now I am here for further training and certification from a very famous IT organisation which is mainly popular for it's placement record. This "branch" hosts candidates from all over the country and the institute has "branches" in Pune and all over India. I am at the HQ. I hope this gives y'all a good idea where I am located. So can anyone PM me some leads for budget ST in Pune. I am new here, but I promise I'll reciprocate once I get accustomed to the city. Any help will be highly appreciated.
What do you do before responding to PM for contacts towards an FR
Fortunately, I had been lucky to get some dependable SPs after trial an error, to be precise 2 who I always go to in Pune.
I also share FR's generously, nearly 4/5 of all encounters I had, since I know mongering is great only 50% of the time. The more you know from what others share, actually helps in a better chance at having a great experience. An average or below average experience is quite common, where you may think "why did I spend so much money for this?
But with every FR, I do receive a lot of contacts requests.
This is what I generally do:
1. Is that person been sharing FRs earlier?
2. Is he a senior member?
3. Is he from the same city, not collecting contacts sitting in some other city?
4. Does he seem legit and not otherwise from his forum posts?
I do ignore a lot of contacts PM requests. I don't think others evaluate me like that when I reach out to them for a particular contact.
What is a fair practice? I hope I can get some debate on it. This is risky business and a true trusted network is what everyone needs.
