I know this is a bit off, but wanted to suggest all folks here start investing in the stock markets or mutual funds to get good returns that can be used for these expenses. There seem to be a lot of frustration lately with the prices going up, I feel the markets can help evade this to some extent.

For beginners, just invest every month in index funds or Nifty 50 to get 10%-20%. Returns, you would be much better off than those who track markets and keep tweaking their portfolios. You could start by setting aside a small sum every month ( 10 k).
