One time I got stopped when they were doing ID checks, showed them my Passport card, and it easily satisfied them.

They were curious about the USA, etc, and we got to talking, made new friends.

Funny, they referred to the girls as, "chicas malas, pero buenas", jeje.
They just advised to watch out for the bad guys around, that rob.

What if they suck in bed or they don't look like the photos in facebook? Ideally you would meet them for a drink and take the discussion from there. They may bring a friend to chaperone that initial meeting.

But for 2 hrs, will there be a decent discount like TLN?

I'd offer a price rather then ask one, they are bound to reach for the stars if you ask.

The closest encounter was coming back from Centro late one night and the cops stopped our taxi. They glanced in the back seat at me and a buddy and never said a word, just waved us on.

I'm going to rely on my experiences rather than what someone heard.

I have never had any negative encounters in Colombia or Costa Rica over more than 30 trips. But I'm respectful, don't walk around drunk or loud, or act like a typical douschebag gringo.

Offer 150 k for a session. Forget talking about time, there's no clock punching unless you go to an MP. Any indy who quotes by the hour will usually rush you. Remember, to many of them, 1 hour = 1 shot. If you shoot too early, you may get 20 minutes. If you want to negotiate specifics, lets say 2 shots, and up to 2 hours but probably 1. 5 or so, offer 200 k. 150 k for 1, 200 for 2. Take it or leave it, plenty of fish in that sea. They are everywhere.

300 k is her gauging how new you are, or how dumb. LOL Reply 150 k plus taxi to come to me. Taxi is max 10-20 k. Tell her to take Uber, it's cheaper. And she can send you a screenshot of the cost. One did it to me that last trip, without asking which was cool.

Not sure what point you are attempting to make with this, but it has NOTHING to do with gringos having encounters with police in Centro. But the reasons are listed a few pages back. Mostly lack of competition and steady stream of non-Spanish speaking gringos keeps them in business.[/QUOTE]
