It still beats sitting in a hotel or staying back home in US or wherever.
If your travel to DE is of personal nature, and is discretionary and you have control on the dates of travel, then choose another time.
I was in the clubs in that time frame only once, and that was due to business travel. The quality and even quantity definitely dipped and was noticeable.

It is indeed a business trip and the dates are unfortunately fixed, so my choice is pretty much between sitting at the hotel or trying my luck at the clubs. And I guess you're right that the club always beats staying at the hotel sitting on my hands.
