Bangkok Reports

To those that have found it necessary to get on their soapbox. Yes, I understand some of where you are coming from. I think the "RTFF" abbreviation should be banned from the ISG. While I understand the original intention, it's just a rude way to greet other members. It would never be used in real life face to face meetings. Yes, I also agree that some members can be a bit crusty at times, and that may also discourage SOME contributors.

BUT, I find those that simply show up and read posts and ask questions, and offer only snide remarks even more of a turnoff. Many of whom are clearly regular visitors to LOS, who should have something to offer. They are the proverbial visitors to the party, who eat all the food, drink all the booze, bring nothing with them, are not very good company and then scream and moan about how they don't even like the people who threw the party in the first place!

Please look in the mirror and ask yourself if you have contributed, if not have you at least been good company. Ask yourself, if you did not like something, did you take a positive approach to GETTING IT FIXED or did you simply do everything in your power just to bad mouth the current company and do everything in your power to undermine everthing, including the good. If you are the latter, I think the crusty contributors surely offer more than you do.

Please, try to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. If you can't be part of the solution, at least try not to burn the house down, by throwing fuel all over the fire. Sometimes, the RTFF responses come from the frustration of seeing the same posters asking questions (coming to the party) but not contributing (not bringing anything). Yes, RTFF scares some off, but SOME are just too lazy or are just freeloaders in real life and they are no different in the cyber world and that's what ticks some contributors off. I don't think RTFF or sarcasm is the answer, but I certainly understand some of the sentiment.

I personally feel we need to encourage contributors, especially someone like Adamqqq, who contributed on his 1st post.

I have taken several girls there to drink & dance. Don't recall ever seeing anything there worth shagging. Furthermore you will have to pay an entry fee just to have a looksee. In short I wouldn't recommend for picking up.

far be it from me to get involved in an argument - but RTFF was intended as a jog to help those "newbies" to look for themselves before asking inane questions and expecting answers. Virtually EVERY time the RTFF response is given, it's done to note to the requesting party that their answers are IN THE FORUM (if only they would take the time to SEARCH) - the problem might be that they don't know HOW to search

Could you please tell me exactly what he contributed with his post? If he had even bothered to take the time to quickly browse the Thailand Forum he would have seen that everything he posted has been covered ad nauseam.

He gets an A for effort and I will admit that his report was extremely well written; eventhough, in MHO... worthless. Is this what we want to encourage on the forum, a re-hash of common knowledge.

I didn't check since I am not interested because the Mom looks like an old soi dog. I have nor reason not to believe the girl, she didn't try to sell that to me, just told me as a matter of fact that the lady she talked to previously was her mom. Why don't you just go there talk to Bee and ask her?

As you can see from some of my previous posts, I don't mind blowing substantial amounts of cash on entertainment or other nieceities, however I hate being taken for a ride.

Spicegirls on Soi Cowboy now have Coyotte dancers, which, in general, look mighty fine. These girls are however not barfinable, their job is to make you drink as much as you can and pay as many Ladydrinks as possible. Their ladydrinks costs a whopping 200b. For that amount she will stay a few minutes with you. Compared to the 450 bath for 45 minutes at the Pent or Forte, in a very nice setting, compared to an average looking gogo, this is clearly a rip-off. Of course they only tell you after you paid some ld that they are "good girls" and never go out with customers....

The girl I was with was very clever in suggesting that she might leave secretly with me at 2 am if I keep on paying her drinks until then....

The normal bg working in Spicegirls can only be described as very average.

So my advice to everybody is to avoid Spicegirls. I hope that Stick and others will expose this scam.

Is it just me that thinks that NEP right now is a much better venue than SC?

I know you are a hotshot contributor to this forum, but I think you were too harsh on Adam. That was and excellent first post and from what I have seen, 99% of first posts are of "can you give me her number" or "where can I find good girls" variety. Adam's post may not have provided any new info for BKK vets like you and me, but it is a very helpful one for newbies. Plus, think of how many pages of useless posts a newbie has to navigate to get to an informative post. If there was a post like Adam's on every page, it would be awesome. In other words, common knowledge must be rehashed in order for this forum to remain useful. Finally, everyone's experience and perspective is different and that's what makes this forum so great. For example, plenty of people here had a great time in Rainbow II in NEP. I, on the other hand, was shooed off and could not enter it because of my skin color.

Sarcasm and criticism are far too easy and only discourage other posters. I hope you take no offense.

I think it is rude, in many cases people new do try to read back to answer there questions, in some cases there are people that join the forum and don't read any posts and start posting stupid questions. Not all germans hate jews, not all muslims are terrorists and not all newbies have not bothered to "RTFF"!

The Thailand boards are some of the most easy going, inviting, easy to post (without fear of flaming) forums there are, and that is a good thing and what makes this board so great.

What there needs to be is a FAQ in this forum that newbies could refer to prior to posting any stupid questions they may have. It should be updated reqularly so its upto date about pricing, where to go and whatever stupid questions that come up on a regular basis because newbies don't want to read more then 10 pages of this forum. That would solve alot of the problems aswell as making newbies feel they've gained knowledge from this forum fast and easy and make them all the more willing to help to contribute to it and keep it great.

Its rainy season now, and the girls know that its off peak for tourist season, there are less punters around and so many give up on the freelance bars. You also have to remember that Thai boyfriends have to be kept happy at the weekend, so generally Friday to Sunday night is a poor showing in the freelance bars now, only when boyfriend is back at work do they come out for extra money during the week.

However, that said, high oil prices and the rising cost of living is no doubt going to make many people struggle, so there may be a surge in freelancers later this summer, as more and more turn to the occasional freelance to make ends meet.

I take no offense, it's just my opinion that it was a worthless post. Others disagree, so-be-it. No one says they are wrong, or that I am right.

I think I am more concerned that it's worthy as a ROD, albeit well written, it offered nothing of value to anyone who has the slightest knowledge about Bangkok. In a week it will be relegated to the dust bin. So I don't see what all the flack is about. Please explain to this little pea brain of mine...

Nothing has changed. Unlike many other "Senior Members" I don't automatically tell a new member to RTFF. I don't mind answering newbie questions as long as they are legitimate, it's the ones that don't offer any thought, e.g., are there girls availble in BKK... that raise my hackles. In my opinion Adamqqq's report fell into this category. But, I do give him credit for an extremely well written report. He is obviously well educated.

The ROD are totally random. There was one in the Auckland (NZ) forum which consisted of 6 lines about one punters failed attempt at anal sex with a ladyboy in a dark allyway. And I was so elated when I had one ROD but the grim realisation that they were random was such as downer.
