I had heard of girls being flaky from SA, but I simply had never experienced it in any manner that would make it notable. That has firmly changed. I now know how real the flake truly is.
There was a choice to go to Seattle or Phoenix. There are lots of pluses for doing dinner and pushing for the SNL (single night lay). Even tho I do it because I've found it most effective I think there are clear reasons it's more effective.

For the first meet, the flake rate is very high indeed. For me, maybe it was about 80%, with most of them being last minute cancellations. Sometimes they just did not show up, but that was kind of rare. Some would cancel well in advance, but that was also rare.
I won't go into all the reasons why the flaking happens, but just expect it.
Therefore, (1) don't book a hotel room in advance on a first date, and (2) have a backup plan.
I don't know how many times I drove over an hour for a first date, only to be flaked on and then stuck with a paid-for hotel room.
Eventually, I chose meeting places that I wanted to check out anyway. So, when the date flaked, I at least got to check out a new bar or new neighborhood.
Also, for the first date, I stopped doing dinners. For me, they were hit or miss, and when they were a miss, then I was stuck on a boring date for two painful hours.
