December Main Trip Report Part 1
I pulled up in Sosua around 6 pm after the three plus hour drive from Santo Domingo. I went to my main hotel but they didn't have my choice room so I left and went to Europa. $40 for 1 night. I left my things in the car as I went to my third floor room to drop some kids off at the pool and do some Whatsapp socializing. I finally dragged my ass out of the room thinking on following Gogo's plan of hitting the bars that others neglect.
I walked down to see if anything was jumping off at the old La Passion, but there was nothing. On the walk back I stopped by a bar that had Brazilian decor (Samba Bar I think the name is). I asked for a menu and inquired about the price of the drinks. The menu listed the drinks, but not the prices. It seemed that none of the girls behind the bar knew any prices nor how to make any of the drinks. They went to get some lady out of the back who knew more about drinks and was in possession of the internet clave. I think I ended up with a Pina Colada for 180 pesos or so. I tried chatting up a couple of the girls behind the bar but they seemed to be dumb as posts so as soon as I finished my drink I left heading down to the main drag.
It was about 9:45 pm. I was supposed to meet Old Kool in Merengue at 10. I went inside and sat at the bar. I think there were only two other dudes in there besides me and they were already with chicks. I ordered some Doritos and a Cuba Libre. Some chick comes up with the usual routine of Hello, buy me a beer. I tell her I am not interested but she persists. I just ignore her. Then her friend comes over and does the same thing. After I would not buy her a beer she tried to get 200 pesos out of me so she could get a ride home. Do they ever give up? After another Cuba Libre it was apparent that Old Kool was not going to show so I paid my bill and left.
I headed into Rumbas and continued with the Cuba Libres. I was socializing having a good ass time. First I was talking to the crew of the girl who I would see the next day working in a nail salon in Puerto Plata. That was right at the front window on the side of the bar. When I finished with them I shimmied over to some other chick's table. I'm just talking pure shit to the chick then I decided to go back to the bar for another drink. As soon as I excused myself and looked up to step off, who do I see on the other side of the same table? Damn Angie. The girl I got into it with last time and had to call the police. It startled the shit out of me to tell the truth. I'm thinking this broad is going to start some shit. It was like a nerdy kid in high school running into the school bully in the hallway. All I could think of was to ask how she had been doing. She said fine, like the incident had never happened. I said that's great then I walked out of Rumbas.
I had gotten a couple of emails from Gogo telling me to go check out a couple of other spots. First I went to Lou's old place. Gogo had told me to get on the waitress, but I took a liking to the cashier. Whatever the name of the place (Shirley's or some shit) I kept asking where she was. They said she is the owner and would be in later. I kept telling them bullshit. I knew one of them was Shirley. So eventually the lady comes in. She appeared to be Haitian. I'm steady kicking back CLs and talking to the cashier. Then all of a sudden an old white dude comes in and sits on the opposite side of the cashier, orders 3 beers, and gives her and the bartender one. Now she is turned talking to him. I was stunned. This mf just strutted in and stole my broad. I called her on it too. She said oh he is just a customer. I'm half way drunk now. I was like fuck this shit and left out and went to Big Mama's. The place was deserted so as soon as I walked in, I turned around and walked right back out.
It hit me that while I was down that way that I should go to the ATM. I walked down to the one next to the cigar shop and it would not work. I went to the one across from that and still the same thing. Then I went to the one across from that and that shit only wanted to give me a meager (like 3000 pesos) amount of money. Well what the fuck me worry. I got Charles Schwab. These fees don't mean shit to me. So I get the cash and head back to Rumbas. I probably had another drink before it was time to go check out the chicks heading into Clasico.
So I'm standing in front of Merengue and for some reason the worse chicks are coming up trying to latch on to me. And they were not taking no for an answer. I ended up asking one decent Haitian chick how much she wanted. And we were speaking in French now. She had the nerve to tell me 3000! I damn near had to pick myself off the floor from laughing so hard. I saw one of the finest chicks I have ever seen in Sosua. She had a big dunkie booty. I was like I got to have that girl right there. I called her over and was talking to her and realized she didn't have a big toe. You talk about a downer. Next time I just might have to bring her a pair of socks or something because damn that ass was a work of art. Then two chicks came up talking about Happy Hour. I said how much? They said 2000. I said that is 1000 each right? They said yes. I told one of them to write it down then. She wrote it down on a piece of paper that I gave her. It was tempting, but I had to break off and go in and see what that Clasico was about.
Charles Schwab reimbursement!
I got Charles Schwab. These fees don't mean shit to me.
Do you have to call Charles Schwab (CS) to get the fees reimbursed or they do automatically?
I'm using the same visa ATM card in the DR now but I don't see CS reimbursing me so far.
BanPopular charges 175 pesos!
