[/QUOTE]I want to see an actual report of somebody succeeding here. I have heard numerous times that it is easy and that they cost 1,500-3,000 but have never actually heard of somebody doing it though I understand it used to be quite common.

I'm a long-time reader and finally had the opportunity to try things out myself. I first have to say thank you all for the great intel on activities in Taiwan. Although I would have wanted to try KTVs, there were seriously too many in the city and I wasn't sure how to differentiate between the singing ones and ones we talk about in this forum. Tokyo and Caesars (well documented in this forum) was much easier to work with and I enjoyed it very much throughout the month and a half while I was in Taipei on business.

All of their girls are carefully selected and well trained to make men very comfortable. However, because Long Heng is a big target they will not openly help you negotiate "take out" fees (as other KTVs will). Also, you have to buy the girl for the "whole day" if you like her and that comes to $30K easy, so I am curious of your recent experience. Of course I haven't been to Long Heng in 2 years so I guess they change their business practices.

If you want to try a brand new KTV there's a new game in town (well actually the boss bought out the old one, re-decorate it, renamed, it) on Chong-Shao East Road (next to LUXY) and it's called 97 Taipei. The interior is excellent but the girls are so-so in my opinion, so after a couple of trips I don't even bother anymore.

Emperor's club is a high scale amongst the high-scale KTVs, and the girls are better, but also more expensive (get ready to spend a minimum of 19K, more if you stick around to sing and drink alcohol)

Do not freaking use ******, I tried 5 girls in the last 3 days and none of them look remotely like the picture. And never try those $1400+ "local girls" as they are really average looking.

It's good to know that "legit massages" are hurting. Next time I am in Taipei, I will try rejecting the 7's in order to hook up with the 9-10's.

I am kind of torn on the High-End KTV's. I've tried them in HK, but never in Taipei. For 19K+, I keep thinking 4 times at Caesar's, 4 times real massage with happy-endings w/9's-10's in Tokyo, or a whole stack of BBBJ's w/18-21yo's at a pink salon. I love the high-end, but I'm not much for them staying overnight (I sleep much better alone). Like to think that I am paying them to leave.

I will probably try high-end KTV once in Taipei, just to see what's it's like, but I suspect it will probably be similar to what I've seen in HK: lots of fun, but pricey.

You know how much of the action has been sucked out of Taipei into China? The effect is even more pronounced in HK. Like you have mentioned in Taipei, if you are into quality in HK, the only thing worth doing seems to be high-end KTV, but even then, you will get more bang for your buck on the mainland.

That's why when I visit HK, I just forego the mongering and hop over the border into the mainland (do what the local HKers do). Shenzhen and Donguan are recommended by many, but I prefer the Tangxia Goodview Sauna (I made some posts in the 2007 Donguan thread) on the way to Donguan.

hes talking about Japan not Taipei. Head over to the Japan thread. Was at one in Tokyo, you pay about 70 US and get a booth.
