Sauna Reviews

Greetings,

My first post so be easy on me. But I'm headed to Macau this week and looking forward to my first sauna experiences. After RTFF several times I have come to the following conclusions.

1) Hou Va is a low cost option for a session. And at a slightly higher price you can get good take out service.

2) Darling 1 is an excellent choice for a session. Good array of choices, good service and a reasonable price.

3) Service in the sessions at the various saunas are a) more expensive, and b) far more hit or miss.

If anyone wants to amplify on those thoughts I anxiously await your rejoinders.

My newbies' opinion is that the real reason to go to a sauna, rather than Hou Va or Darling 1, is for all the other services, before and after the session. That's the unique experience offered in Macau. Correct?

Here's my list of Sauna experiences that I want (outside of the session of course), could anyone offer opinions on which saunas deliver in these areas?

1) Lockers & showers -- Friendly locker attendant, Shower girls with a nice attitude -- playful. Perhaps some short oral along the way.

2) Pools and Such -- Spacious relaxing clean and available when desired.

3) Lounge Area -- Comfortable seating -- not too crowded -- not too noisy -- not too smokey. WiFi for Ipad?

4) Food and Drink -- Available and easy to access, tasty, extra cost items are reasonable.

5) Lounge Services -- Available easily without too much delay. Not too much aggressive promotion. Thigh massages done in lounge. With other services. Ladies are friendly and sweet.

I think these are the things that make Macau special. And the experience there unique? From everything I have read Rio stands head and shoulders above the rest in these areas. But of course they stand above the others in costs as well.

Which of the saunas is the best of the rest??

I arrive Wednesday night and when I walk out the door for my first experience what should be my destination. Have read good things about The ONE in Landmark hotel, and the East in Waldo. Care to chime in?

I am also going to Macau for my first time May 31-June 3. Did the same research you did and reached similar conclusions except that it seems the selection of girls at an expensive place like Golden Sauna is truly world-class. Also got a tip that Sanado Spa is very good quality and has 20% discount if you are leave before 6 pm.

Your research is exactly right. Where you go first depends on what you like. I prefer the likes of D1 and HouVa, and at D1 I can recommend Thai girl #9 for excellent GFE.

Other tips: avoid weekends if possible, and if coming from HK, get a coupon for your desired venue at Shun Tak centre, 3rd floor, which effectively saves you the cost of the ferry.

My firmly held opinion is don't come to Macau if you are not ok with spending large. This is not a town to be frugal in. You get what you pay for at the top joints. The following is my list of favorite bordellos in the order of where I have found the best looking / best performing girls. The 1st 4 places are musts IMHO. I always go to Rio, FN, Darling 1, and East Spa. After that I either repeat with one or two of the big 4 again or I go off and try a new one. I agree with Globalnomad5: come to Macau on Sunday & leave on Friday to avoid the weekend crowds and the hike in hotel rates. I will add that I don't recommend going to the saunas before 7pm at the earliest. The prime time lineup is what its all about.

1. Rio Sauna is the place for really hot, model quality girls. But you will pay an arm and a leg for the super model category girl. Last time I was there they had 2 Chinese super models (3,600 mop) and 2 Korean super models (3900 mop) out of a total of 40 to 50 girls on display during SHOWTIME. I wanted to pull the triger and take one of the super models, but didn't. I chose a really sexy Chinese model girl (2500 mop) instead and had a great time with her, but I regret that decision today. LOL. Anywhere else my Chinese model would be considered an 8. In Rio she was completely over shadowed by 3 out of 4 of their super models. Those super models were TV / Movie actress quality. Simply, breathtakingly gorgeous. I am not joking around about this, but damn, it's really serious money to enjoy one.

2. Familia Nobre is my #2 favorite sauna. Its very friendly and they have a lot of girls from all over Asia, Africa, and even a few from the former Soviet Republics. FN is less expensive than Rio. You can do nice Viets there for around 1500 mop. The Chinese model category girls are around 2300 mop (200 mop less than same category girl at Rio). I have had some outstanding sessions at FN. In addition, this is the place to get a thigh massage. I highly recommend the FN thigh massage before your main event. Its great!

3. Darling 1 is another favorite of mine although tecnically it is not a sauna and operates more like a BKK soapy with a fishbowl of 50 or 60 girls from China, Vietnam, and Thailand. Last time I was there I had a really nice Chinese model category girl for 2000 mop and she was great.

4. East Spa is another winner. It is much smaller than Rio, but of similar high quality. East Castle is owned by East Spa. It opened up after they closed Sanado. I have not been to East Castle, but I hear it is good. East Spa is another place where I highly recommend getting a thigh massage before your sex session.

5. Excellent Sauna (Emperor Grand Hotel) - a small high class boutique sauna. I was staying at the Emperor Grand on my last visit so I tried it one night and had a great time with a Malaysian girl.

6. Victoria Sauna (L'Arc Hotel) - Another high class sauna in a luxury hotel. I tried this place one time too and had a good time with one of their Chinese Model category girls.

Here are two more places that I have not tried yet, but have heard good things about, so I am sure I will get around to them eventually:

The One (Landmark Hotel) is a smaller Sauna, but it has some good reviews.

Excellent Sauna (Emperor Grand Hotel) - Ditto. I hear it is not a large sauna, but you can find some nice girls here.

I have been to Excellent Sauna and had a good time. I have never been to Emperor Sauna and only heard what others say about it.

I am thinking to go this year again, money is not an issue, problem is that Macau is rather small place with not much things to do and you can not stay in saunas 24/7, of course. In Pattaya I can spend day time at Koh Larn at least, swim a lot and bring good suntan back home.

Nothing to do in Macau are you saying there are more thing to do in pattaya, I don't you have ever been to Macau before so many casino open the last 10 yr one in every few month.

I arrived about 4 pm on a Weds. Had done a lot of online research so knew the basic drill and costs. Showered and got the robe, went into the lounge and was the only customer. Got some food that was ok quality. Asked server for a thigh massage and she got a Vietnamese girl in the pink outfit. Pretty face nice bod (which you can't touch) and pretty good Engl. You do it in a private room and she did a good oily job at rubbing my eqpt. Then she started an upsell which I didn't think happened. She offered the standard FS treatment for 4,000 HKD which I knew was almost twice the going price of 2,300. I said no and she said just oral for 2,300. I said "too much" and that I wanted to go back to lounge.

There was another customer now who was also an Anglo so we chatted while he got a foot massage. He said he is a long time Rio customer and this was his first FN. He'd also gotten a thigh massage from the same Viet girl. He said he prefers Rio based on his experience so far.

I asked for a line up. I'd read that even during the day they can have over 30 girls. But only 5 were brought out, all Viet. I chose #706 and would recommend her. 24 yo, pretty face, and almost perfect body. Did a few cool things I hadn't had done before (the Listerine swirly is way better than it sounds). The house condom is thick as hell and I couldn't feel a thing when she hopped on CG. Bring your own if you think of it. She finished me manually with oil and we snuggled and chatted via her phone app for a while. Then she showered me off and I went back.

Overall I was probably over-hyped for the Macau Sauna experience so it was a bit of a let-down. I still have a couple days so I hope to try Darling 1 and Sanado.

For non gamblers of which I am one, this is what I like to do in Macau until prime time (7:30 to 8 pm) begins:

!. Sleep late.

2. Wake up & go out and grab some coffee.

3. Check my emails, correspondence, and business affairs.

4. LUNCH: This is a big deal. Macau has some great restaurants including 3 michelin star Chinese restaurants. The dim sum is best in the world! Local food is interesting too. So lunch is my main meal when I am in Macau.

5. Walk around. I like to literally walk around Macau Island. It takes around 2 hours and there is always someting interesting to see. I try to mix up my route and see if I can get lost.

6. Rest up for the evening.

7. Go to a Sauna.

8. After Sauna time (if I started around 8 p, it is usually around midnight or a little later when I leave the sauna.) I like to walk around and check on the SW's on my way to dinner. I particularly like the noodle restaurant at The Grand Lisboa. They offer 5 or 6 differnet kinds of fresh noodles combined with one of three broths and your choice of many different side entrees. I like the spicey minced pork for a side.

9. After dinner I like to cruise a casino or two. I always keep my eye out for FL's hanging around the slot machines. One time I picked up a gorgeous Chinese girl in the MGM casino.

10. I eventually head for a bar. Lions Club is good. They have quality booze, FL's, and live music. MP3 is also a good place to have a drink and watch the show ie Russian pole dancers & Filpina FL's. I rarely take a FL back to my room, but it has happened occasionally. LOL. There are also late night clubs & discos where I am sure plenty of girls are availalble. I never stay up that late, however, unless I have jet lag. BTW, Macau is one of the best cities in the world to have jet lag. The town never goes to sleep. The saunas, casinos, and casino restaurants are open all night long and stay busy. In addition, Macau is a very safe city so you can walk around anywhere you like at 4:30 - 5am in the morning without a care, and if you get hungry, you can stop and get some great noodle soup somewhere. Its all good.

11. I go to sleep and then wake up and do it all over again.

The bottom line is I would not want to live in Macau full time unless I had a high paying job to keep me focused. But I consider a 4 or 5 night side trip, once a year, to get my Chinese fix a real treat.

To get the most out of Macau a punter / traveler should spend 5 NIGHTS here (Sunday to Friday), check out a different Sauna (no earlier than 7:30 pm) for at least the 1st 3 nights, and then spend the last two nights wherever he wants.

Plus the ferrys do not run late at night. I believe that last ferry leaves Macau at 11:59.

Macau hotel are much better value than in HK large suite price during the week is about the same or cheaper than hotel in HK, if you are paying not on your company expense than stay in Macau or sleep a night at the sauna.
