I guess that this forum not so active, regarding my search for help for upscale Hotel clubs / bars from last week. I went ahead and booked Sankara since I kinda got the impression from the forum that Westlands have a little more upscale places than CBD, or many I am wrong? Does anyone know if there are girls to pick up on the roof top bar at Sankara or you have to bring yourself?

The Stanley is upscale and very convenient, particularly with the Thorn Tree downstairs. Opposite the Stanley there is the Oakwood which I have tried many times and with lower rates. I have never paid a girl for service, I buy food, cell phone time and give a tip say about KSH 1000 or maybe KSH 1500. I usually look for more GF experience, the sex is automatic then. I usually go for the more upmarket hotels.

Thank you both for your comments, both points understood and appreciated. I am also a little of an upmarket guy. I am almost 50 worked hard all my life, time to enjoy. Does Thorn Tree also have pickup girls? I can see it is a nice Cafe and praised for food.

Has anyone stayed here recently? I have used both (both are pretty crappy but cheap) and they were cheap. Just looking for recent feedback on these very central Locations.

By the way, the standard varies wildly; my last room was in Terminal facing the street and the room was excellent with a very interesting view at a couple of streetwalkers in the afternoon outside the shopping mall. Both dressed as non-pros; they actially looked like regular business ladies. Maybe I shall have a go in a couple of weeks.

The side of the Nakumat Lifestyle opposite the hotel (in fact its a 1 star GH in relatively central location) is still under construction so there is noise (which however was always a problem there) and the cafe with the terrasse is closed.

By the way Nairobi has much more to offer than the CBD and Westlands.
