The place is on your right side of the street. It is half way up the block a "White Gate" just like a garage door. Listen for the music. There is no number or sign on it. Just knock and the will let you in.

When I got there last Saturday it was busy. I had to wait about 15 min. The rooms are really more "stalls" with sliding plastic doors that prevent virtually no noise.

The ratio of guys to girls was at least 10:1. A bunch of guys waiting by the door upstairs that is leading to the rooms. So they can catch their favorite girl as she comes back from the rooms. That restricts the flow of girls to the downstairs area.

The whole place was just too busy and too rushed for my taste. However, some of the girls that I saw were very doable and I was surprised by their quality. Got to try it maybe a little earlier on of these days.

Could any locals kindly describe what the general Christmas time vibe is like? I assume things are closed on Christmas day (please let me know if there are exceptions), but do places like Cafe Rojo reopen on the 26th? Probably with half of the girls gone?

Thanks![/QUOTE]I was in Quito prior to Christmas 2012 and the selection at Cafe Rojo was huge. There is a whole pre-Christmas program of free concerts in the parks, I enjoyed the Blues at them. After Christmas things fell way off at Cafe Rojo. I left and went to Banos for the New Year which was fun with the lighting of the managotes at midnight. Good luck.

10 de Augusto and Rumipamba. Actually on 10 de Aug southbound across the bus stop (4033). It is just an entrance no sign. Just lok for a dark hallway with a security guard.

The place is from 12 PM to about 8 PM. 20+ girls ranging from a few 8 to 5 and 6 (majority). But enough talent to enjoy. Facilities are very basic and the main "meeting room" is a fairly small room. Like a living room size. Like all Chongos the guys are standing around and just watching.

Entry is $2. 50 (buys you a beer) and the ficha is $12- which I find amazing considering the fact that some of these girls are really pretty. Service is basic and subject to negotiations. No GFE but decent experience.

I think the quality is similar to 122 or Blush. Nothing outstanding about this place except price and selection.

The reson is that some of the girls here have contact with men outside and in this way they are cooperating to try to rob you using violence. The guards at Tues. Entrance will not help you and they are very interested in gringos.

I was a victim of them some time ago but I'm not the only one!
