Much has been made of the Korean threat to the 'Angeles way of life', but I believe its overblown. For the Koreans, their lack of English is their Achilles heel and forces them to go to the bars and make the best of it. Throwing money around. Where else can they go? They can't go online because they don't speak or read English. The majority of them anyway.

I rarely go to bars because I feel like that rather than being in control, I have to compete against other mongers whether Korean or otherwise. Especially in those big factories like Atlantis etc. I didn't come from the other side of the planet for that. We have plenty of that nonsense in the good old USA. Rather, like many here, I've been feasting off Cupid etc for years and have banged literally hundreds from the sites. No Korean threat that I can divine.

For me anyway, Angeles is a total dump but I go for a few days anyway and will again next month. The reason I go is the critical mass of hookers, freelancers, and regular girls that form an unholy alliance where sex is the main raison d'etre as opposed to other spots which may be legitimate tourist places or cities where people actually make a normal living. The atmosphere of sex permeates the entire place and the regular girls that I pursue on the sites are far more amenable to getting it on than in other places. Either they know what is expected of them or they are afraid of the competition from the abundance of professionals.

Then there's the freelancers. An inexhaustible supply at very reasonable prices. I know I'm not alone when I say that from getting on DIA to having a twenty something in your bed can be as little as 15 minutes. Incredible!

Whatever they girls say about preferring this ethnic group or that, I often get the impression, as a Caucasian, that I'm being treated deferentially. I'll hazard a guess and say that our reputation for fairness is at the root of this.

The growth of the low paid call center agent also provides an incentive for non-pro freelancing. An IQOR nightshift girls might be getting P12 k per month. If you or I get lazy and fall back on English, someone will understand some of what we are saying. If someone tries Korean etc the vast majority of people will not understand a word.
