Pedestrian traffic back into the US was heavier than usual this weekend, especially with PedWest being closed again, but gained more knowledge about a couple of different shuttle options from the border into the US. The first, which I took for the first time earlier this year, is the SDTJ shuttle where you stand in another line near the border, buy a ticket, and then as soon as the shuttle fills up it takes you across basically to the front of the customs screening line where they check your passport.

The second option, which I just found out about a couple days ago, is a similar shuttle option that leaves every hour at the top of the hour (between something like 6 am and 7 pm) from the transit stop at the border. Also takes you to the front of the customs line. I bought a ticket this past Sunday around 12:30 pm, shuttle departed around 1 pm, and I was across the border by 2 pm, even with the longer than expected wait in traffic. The alternative would have been to stand and wait in the pedestrian line, which looked like a 3-4+ hour wait based on the length of the line.

Both options are only $10. My opinion is if it's looking like more than a 90 minute wait in the pedestrian line or if you're otherwise in a hurry, the shuttle is definitely the better option. There's also the convenience here of getting to sit down while waiting to get through customs vs. Having to stand up in line the entire time.

It's good for a few days but after that it gets old fast. I can't imagine how people live there.

But you love it or hate it. It's grimy, sleazy, touristy at times, aggressive, and paradoxical in ways. Those are reasons you either hate or love it. I love it.

Lauderdale). They are known for extras. First time I went, I got full service in the private room for $200 within an hour or so of getting there. I guess what I mean by the type you can bring home to mother, is that despite them being working girls, some of them can pull off a civilian look and blend in a social setting.
