A non-pro chick in Barranquilla did me the same way. I'm leaving out of Bogota to Barranquilla, a 50 minute flight. Our last words before the plane takes off, are you going to meet me at the hotel or the airport? She said at the hotel. In this case it happened to be a sick adult sister that had to go to the clinic. But bich first of all you are not a doctor, so what help would you have been at the clinic? Second of all, you could not send a message saying you need to reschedule because whatever came up? Instead there is just nothing.

The next day when she contacted me I gave her the third degree. There was absolutely no way she could get me to believe that all hell broke loose and her sister was about to die during the 50 minutes that I was on that plane and she could not send a message or anything. In my case, after she begged and begged, the girl did leave work early and come and we had fun together for a couple of trips from then, but I continued to cuss her out about not only the BS story, but thinking I was so stupid as to believe it. This was a free chick. If I was paying a chick then like Jb there would absolutely be no chance in hell that I would give it a second try.

I always explain to them imagine you coming to my city; somewhere you have never been and you do not speak the language and I do not show up at the airport and do not answer your messages. I can always get more money, but my wasted time I will never get back. Women do some dumb shit. That is why you better always have a backup plan, whether it is more chicks to call or casas to visit, or whatever.

Some people think that they have talked there way in, but chicks may get cold feet because she never met you. Trust me, you tell a chick meet me at the hot spot for that night and she will be there because she realizes you know how to flow when you get in to town. Confidence pulls on first sightings, all that love and sex talk gives chicks cold feet initially. I am not getting off the plane and having a chick waiting for me she needs to follow me.

My issue is she said she would wait up for me and even later she was asking if I could still see her. So not sure what her deal was but I still had a great time and have heard Colombian chicks can be flakes.

It wasn't cold feet. It was either another guy "came up" or she went to party with her amigas. Basically, she had so little respect for you that she didn't care enough to even send a message. Those bitches don't get a second chance, free or paid.

I would be shocked to discover any other reason behind it. A major red flag for this sort of thing in Latin America is a girl mentioning "sick child / child or other relative in the "clinica". It is the Latin America version of the North America "I have a stomach virus".

One time, I got one from the airport because the line for the bus was very long. I paid the standard fare from the airport because I was the only passenger, and he took me to my apartment in Poblado.

They are right there waiting, with the other official taxis, right outside the terminal waiting for passengers.

As a matter of fact, when you walk out, the guy directing the taxis, asks whether you want the collective or solo.

It works that way all over Latin America and in Latin neighborhoods in the US. Any colectivo can be hired as a private taxi at or below the prevailing rate.

My bad on the colectivos. In other countries that I've seen, they are not legal.

I can also think of several Latin countries that have both legal "colectivos" and illegal ones. Perú would be such a place. The former pays taxes, has a registration #, etc. , and the latter kind of hangs around the plaza sort of semi-discreetly. Or in Panamá basically all the taxis are colectivos in that they can pick up additional passengers whether you like it or not. Comes as a bit of a surprise the first time.

Have been having a blast here in Medellin. The chicas in the lesser known casas have been treating me much better than those in the well known ones although Cameela in Energy showed me a great time. Yesterday Michelle in New Life told me no DFK and did not relent, no propina for her. New Life so far has the greater number of girls and no doubt the greater number of gringo punters. Chicas on show included the following:
