Bangkok Reports

I did the Cowboy bar hop, through some of the well known bars, but was short on time so I probably missed a lot. Long Gun, Rawhide, and Bacarra are looking a bit worn. Lot's of girls in the front of the bars, trying to pull customers in. I had a girl from the Shark Bar snag me. Quite attractive, but very annoying once we got inside. I couldn't understand her, as her english skills were quite bad and she spoke too fast. She wanted me to barfine her, the moment we hit the seat. I passed and avoided what surely would have been certain disaster.

A friend of mine followed some girl through a narrow alley in Chinatown. She brought him to some dirty room, locked the door and started giving him a shower not taking her clothes off. During the shower, as she went to get something in the room, she ran out with his money.
Regular massage parlors, especially along Sukhumvit, are great places to find mature women. If you see something you like just ask her to give you a massage in your room. Some will jump at the idea. Last trip, while my LT date was waiting for me to get a body massage, I screwed a 50 something year old massage lady, right there in the stall. If you PM me I will give you an exact location of that massage parlor. You will like the lady.

Hi fellow mongers

Thanks for all the fantastic background for planning my trip to Thailand this November. I've been lurking and reading a lot.

I started my international mongering career in Hong Kong in March and did manage one post before my laptop gave up the ghost. Although I'm getting past the prime of life, I had a great five days there averaging 2 girls per day.

I'm hoping to equal or better that in the LOS. My plan is for 3 days in Bangkok, 3 days in Pattaya, and then 3 days in Chiang Mai with a Thai girl I spent some nights with in HK. (I did spend about two hours outside the bedroom with her. Does that qualify her as a 'girlfriend'?)

Although I've read lots on the forum I do need some further specific advice / recommendations if anybody is willing to help. (My problem is that, compared to many of the posts I read, I've only got a limited time in each place and need to make the most of it.)

In Bangkok, with 3 nights and 2 full days, I'm hoping to
... have girl(s) back to my room for overnight on 3 nights
... probably freelancers from Beer Garden or Thermae. Anywhere else good to pick up from?
... have a 2-girl special at Eden

I've read a lot of hotel recommendations but need to make a final decision. Livingstones sounds good but looks to be a bit away from the action for what I want. Is that right?

I read somewhere that if you're taking two or more girls back you're better in an apartment? The Royal President Apartments look good but again a bit away from the action?

I've been on Google Earth but it's still difficult to know how far everything is and how easy to get around - particularly in getting a girl back to the hotel late at night/early morning. In HK I stayed in Wanchai and it was a hundred yards walk back to the hotel after picking a girl up at one of the nightclubs. Very handy and no hassle.

The same applies to Pattaya. I've reserved at the Pattaya Bay Resort because it sounded extremely girl-friendly. But is there a good hotel nearer to the action? (I'll post on the Pattaya forum as well)

Three days in any one of these places isn't going to give you much of an experience other than as a "tourist." But, they are all good places to visit. I think you will find Chiang Mai a little boreing after Bangkok and Pattaya. But to me, Chiang Mai is one of the best places in Thailand if mongering isn't your primary mission.

For free lancers I would suggest the Nana Hotel Parking Lot between 01:00 and 02:00

From 23:00 to 01:00 try Angels Disco in the basement of the Nana Hotel. My personal favorite next to Spaso's and the Pegagus Club.

See a temple, but once you've seen one you've seen them all. And, be aware of the tourist touts who will tell you they are students or whatever practicing their English and then offer to show you around and will take you to places that give them a commission.

They are all close to the Sky train and taxi's are cheap. It really doesn't make a difference as far as distance is concerned. Livingston's is probably a good choice as the owner will give you lots of information as where to go and what to do in BK.

The Nana Hotel is a good choice if you want to be close to the action. And, I mean close. But, might be difficult to book on short notice.

They don't care what you bring back to your room at Livingston's, If you don't bring a girl back they will supply one.

Taxi's are cheap, so it doesn't matter. just stay away from the tuk-tuks.

Sorry, I am not an expert on Pattaya. Of all the places in Thailand it's my least favorite. A real sewer as far as I am concerned. I suggest the Pattaya Thread

For another 500 baht you get a hj/bj. for 1000 you get fs. It could depend on the girl but my understanging is that this is the general rule. Its more of a novelty thing. Kind of kinky..in the club behind a curtain etc.

2 girls per day is not a heavy schedule at all. Its possible to get even more into a day.

Livingstone's Lodge is not that far from Soi cowboy action and Tulip and many other MPs.

Some of the other Hotels you mention can be good choices.
In lieu of your "short time hotel with girls provided", in Thailand you just find a girl and ask her to take you to a short time Hotel nearby. Alternatively go to a Soapy MP and pick a girl. A large selection of fresh young girls is available at Nataree for example.

Each forum thread has a search function to look for posts of experiences at particular places. Do some detailed dectective work.

Must dos always depend on individual tastes.

I think I prefer the freelancer scene on the seedy side because I am not really comfortable with the bar scene. I am not especially old and I look younger than my age. I have noticed that many bar girls seem t prefer older men who they assume have more money and will stay with them. And, as I said before, it feels to close to the home dating scene, going out to pick up girls at bars, trying to be interesting to get attention. Now with the euro cup there will be hopefully something more to to in the bars than trying to communicate in languages not understood.

Also I want to clarify, that I am not looking for, or have any interests in, anything that has to do with organised trafficking or forced sex.

Just a few quick observations on the HRC: Went there on Wednesday night with gf just out of interest to see the place, and stayed for about an hour at about 10pm. The music was very loud (OK, no surprise) but it would make it very hard for me to pick up anyone there, as I reckon normal conversation was all but impossible. The girls there were more expensively dressed than at the BeerGarden, and were drinking more expensive drinks, but IMHO were no better looking. Finally I was surprised by the number of ladyboys there (I was sitting downstairs with about 20 unaccompanied fl's around me, with 4-5 very obvious ladyboys on two separate tables). The ladyboys were getting plenty of attention from other guests.
All in all, not a place I would go back to unless I fancied dancing to a live band with a gf already in tow. As a pick-up joint it struck me as pretty awful, but that may be a generational thing...

Obviously Nana Plaza (Nana BTS station - Sukhumvit Soi 4) and Soi Cowboy (Asoke BTS station - near Soi 23) are must do's on your first visit, if only just to see what they are about. Taking a girl from those places, does mean paying the 600 baht barfine. Some nice options there, though, so don't count them out.

It's best if you learn to use the BTS Skytrain system and MRT Subway system as it can be tough getting a taxi driver to take you from point A to point B if it's of any distance between the two during rush hour gridlock. Very simple system. Buy an all day pass for 120 baht on the BTS and it gets you up and down Sukhumvit and through Patpong and all the way down to the river for some touristy stuff. While 3 days go by quickly, you will have time to sample enough places.

For freelancers, the Beer Garden on Sukhumvit Soi 7 during the afternoons/evenings, Thermae near Sukhumvit Soi 15 for late night, Gullivers on Sukhumvit Soi 5, the Nana car park right across Nana Plaza on Sukhumvit Soi 4 (late night/early morning), Hard Rock Cafe, Night Clubs like Bar Su, CM2 at Siam Square (Novotel hotel basement), etc. A very simple option is to hit Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy right around 2am, and be there during the mass exodus of the girls from the bars during the closing hours. Daunting task, with so many girls, though. Anyone who was not barfined, may be a potential LT companion. Internet Cafes can turn up some opportunities as well.

The Soi’s up and down Sukhumvit are full of girls. Between Soi 3, 4, 5, 7, and 11. At night, you will see an active scene near NEP (Nana Entertainment Plaza), where food carts/stalls line up the area on both sides of Sukhumvit for several blocks. Food, drinks, vendors, and woman cluster along with farang from late night to after hours. Between Soi 5 through 11, are a cluster of bars and clubs that makes for an interesting if not disorienting walk for a newbie.

Tulip is an oily, but still highly recommended and for a Soapy I prefer Nataree or Utopia over Annie's. Utopia has some real lookers, but there's a farang surcharge. Nataree is within walking distance to Huai Kwang MRT station (5 minutes and in view) and Utopia is a short Taxi ride from that same station. Not all the taxi drivers recognize the name Utopia, but enough do.

Another hotel option is S15, which is very close to BTS Asoke Station (about a block away), so you have easy access to the BTS and MRT. Each stop is about a 15 to 20 minute walk between and about a 5 minute train/subway ride (not counting waiting time). Cabbages & Condoms and Crepes & Co. right across on the other side of Sukhumvit, for some great meals. Livingstones on Soi 33 is certainly still a great option.

Down time, go see the Grand Palace and the Chao Phraya river. For shopping, there's MBK at BTS Siam Station and the Emporium at BTS Phrom Pong station. Both are connected to the Sky train stations. Very easy access. Of course, I have seen plans go down in flames, once a newbie falls in love with the first girl he meets! LOL!

This site - because of the people contributing to it - is really something special. Apart from the forums, it's extras like the Google Earth MP map, or practical info like AT2's advice that MRT stations are a 15 min walk apart - those are the kind of things that really make planning a trip much easier.

Seriously, though, get a good real Thai massage, visit Wat Pho and the Golden Mount, and eat from street vendors even if you're scared of them. Anything boiled all to hell can't be bad for you, so have the soup.

Totally agree with you on your observation. It is a good place though to take someone. The place really gets lively around midnight and you will be wedged in there with your gf, so you will get lots of body contact with her. You will be shouting in each other ears, but most TG's like the atmosphere.

I always found it a good place to take a girl on the second or third night, if I was inclined to keep them around.

Livingstones is close to the elevated mrt that people here are talking about.

To do what you want to do you will need to use the mrt anyway.

There are quite a few massage parlours & bars in the same street very close - and one bar with some nice ladies on its own premises.

Tulip and Nana area Soi 7 Beer garden and Eden (soi 9 iirc) are one mrt station away or about fifteen to twenty mins walk.

It is quite a way from some of the more famous soapies though. However, in most respects it is very good for the hobby and more convenient than the more expensive (but not necessarily better) 'name' hotels.

Also if you speak with Giotto (ask for 'the manager' - the staff don't know 'giotto'), he will be able to give you plenty of practical advice once you get there. That advice will more than compensate for any extra distance you might travel. (And like I said, you will need to use the mrt anyway - wherever you stay).
