When I have lived in mombasa I saw crazy things such as my fiend bought furniture to his hotel and has pay some of the money in advance in order to give the supplier a starter to make his furniture. The supplier never deliver the Merchandise.

Another case he bought copper wires for electricity. He got everything but no copper inside the plastic isolation.

I have many more examples all of them during my year stay in Mombasa when I saw how they make business.

Conclusion: pay nothing in advanced even via "trusted" website. If you book an hotel go directly to the property check everything and then pay only for the shortest time possible to test things. Then you may extend your stay.

Things are getting more complicated in Kenya especially when we need also to consider security.

We all do mistake that's life but again never trust anyone in Kenya especially hotel stuff that often Cooperating with Thieves.

Another week here and I have reported here before on my usual locations so just some updates on new places.

I checked out new Madhouse (literally round the corner from the old one). I was there from about 2 am to 4 am on a Thursday. Not very impressed. Spread over one floor and one long bar and not the same atmosphere as the old one. Not too busy but the women were hard core, not impressive and a bore. Was not tempted to return with so many other venues on offer. There is a small VIP room but I didn't bother checking it out.

One afternoon when bored I logged into Tinder and matched with over 20 top quality ladies within a couple of hours one of whom I met (there are some out and out pros on there). I don't usually use such sights as I much prefer the thrill of walking into a club, spending some time checking out the options, doing some flirting and catching the number one target. Plus its easier to walk away than if you have arranged to meet someone online. However I have to admit that the quality on Tinder was very good and easy to hook up.

I also went to the rooftop Sankara bar for the first time which was very good if you want an escape from the typical Kenyan club nights (though it does close early).

So I like more upscale places and this was my rookie trip to Nairobi, so bound for making loads of mistakes, and here the result: I stayed at Sankara (not a mistake expensive but great Hotel) from Tuesday to Friday. Tuesday night tried K1, since understood.

It should be good. Full of people but hard to tell exactly pros from none pros. Ended up back alone at Sankara and Rooftop Bar was closed. Wednesday went to Black Diamond (too early around 22.00), only good looking one was from Tanzania, but she really had a.

Bad odor, so went back to Sankara rooftop. There was 3 girls at the Bar, only one really good looking, but also 6-7 men sitting around, so she was not in a hurry. Talked to her briefly and she asked 20000, so I passed, mainly because I had to get up early (anyway looked like she.

Had been flirting for a while we a body builder type sitting near. Or that was at least the explanation I gave myself) My last night I had to do something. I have asked one of the drivers connected to the Hotel that have been driving me around in daytime and he.

Recommended me to try Gipsy Bar right next to the Hotel. I would not call it an upscale place, but it was okay, and there were a few nice looking girls. I ended up with beautiful 25 year old, did not talk money at all, she just went with me and in the morning I gave her 100 USD.

And some taxi money and she seemed happy. I have good upscale experience from Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Dubai and Europe, but this was my first Africa trip and I probable did not go to the most upscale places in Nairobi as I wanted to (or did I?) Conclusion is that Rooftop at Sankara.

Seems expensive and I am not sure that the talent justify that. K1 I think is good, but you just need to spend a little more time there and preferable with some friends I guess. Black Diamond was almost dead, but again it was a Wednesday and before midnight. Gipsy I liked.

But ratio men to women was actually not great, I just got lucky. Hope this is helpful, but I still very much would like to get some more advice from the more experienced gentlemen here, as to more upscale bars and clubs, as I do not mind paying for 8-10 quality girls.

I was in Eron Hotel and I used Tinder.

The Hotel cost about 3000 Ksh. Per night for a double and it is clean. To bring somebody for a night is not a problem.

Just the area is not the best.

Tinder is great in just 2 hours a lot of contacts who a willing to play the game.

Going there early is actually a plus because you sit at the bar and watch them parade in as they go straight for the balcony. Its like a fashion show and since your early you get first pickings. Don't forget Tinder, the massage parlors and some internet connects before arrival to make things a bit easier.

Street violence is undeniably a problem and is attributed to rising unemployment secondary to loss of tourism amid political uncertainty and terrorism. Probably there is also some variation in perceived threat vs real threat. The hotel security guard commended me on "coming back alive" when I returned after dinner from Tom Mboya road. He advised me never to get out of the CBD after dark. Next day I was chatting with (or trying to chat up) the receptionist and her opinion was that the law and order situation is acceptable. I suppose that the some areas of Nairobi are no go areas at night. While CBD appears to be safe but iron bars on cash counters in ordinary shops and the sheer number of security guards are not encouraging.

To add to that, I witnessed three fights in four days including two in Simmers.

• A SW standing close to the wall was attacked by a few SWs from outside the club.

• A woman came and attacked a man and tried to drag him out of the club. I was told later that she was trying to take her husband back.

• A street fight between two young men. Interestingly passer by patiently waited for the outcome.

Airport is very basic. More basic then I was expecting. Flight landed at around 02:00 pm and I decided to take the bus #34 to the city. There was not much point in saving GBP 10 taxi fare while staying in Hilton but I wanted to see real Nairobi and I definitely got that. Approximately 1 hour drive is through the slums with virtually non-existent roads and no sewerage. The traffic can be described as chaotic chaos.

I find most Kenyans fluent in English and friendly. There is plenty of talent both on the street and inside bars and is cheap and available. First time I realized what does the word 'semi pro' means as I noticed girls falling in love with me in apparently non pro places like Samba Brasilia on Moi Ave and I – something (I forgot the name) on Kimathi Street even though I had company (of course another wg). Food outside CBD is real Kenyan, nice and very cheap. Inside CBD you can find western burgers and coffee for half the price you pay in West.

Downside are.

• Risk of mugging / violence.

• Relentless begging for drink and sometimes even petty cash by WGs.

First night I went to Simmers. Nice food and nice relaxed atmosphere. I was approached by many girls. They come start chatting and then start asking for a drink or even petty cash.

I was approached by 24 year old while having dinner. She offered great jigi jigi. I bargained her down to 1500 from 5000 and off to the hotel. We registered their details before going to the room. She fulfilled her promise and delivered a very nice session. Her body was very nice however rough hand and very rough feet were evidence of farm work. Any way cannot complain. She was willing to stay all night for another 1000 but I wanted to sleep after a long haul flight.

Second night went early to Simmers to have dinner and plan was to visit Black Diamond later. While I was eating, a tall slim beauty invited herself and start chatting. One bird in hand is better than two in the Bush and considering cost and time for visiting Black Diamond, I decided to give hare a go. Back in the room things went smoothly. Very chatty and nice GFE. After the session she wanted me to take her to Florida night club but with no commitment to stay overnight. I agreed but on our way we went to eat first and then entered the night club I-something (I forgot the name).

I was told that this is a 'normal' night club but a 22 year old fell in love with me totally ignoring 'my company'. After some bull shit she asked for 5 K but then dropped to 2. 5 K. I agreed to 2. 5 K and off to the hotel. Unfortunately in the hotel she lost her enthusiasm and an average session followed.

Third night went to Samba / Brazilla bar. This is very close to the Hilton on Moi Eve. After some time a very tall Masai looking girl start chatting with me. She said that she is not Masai but Nilite from Uganda. She was 28 but very fit athletic body. Agreed on 2 K and off to the hotel.

She was a very chatty woman also bit depressed because of divorce from an abusive and jobless husband. She did tried to convince me that she is non pro only go with selective clients. I got a detailed lecture on 33/34 tribes of Kenya and ancient migrations. My patience paid off and I got very nice and long GFE session. However, after the session she just fell sleep.

Another session in the morning and paid her another 2 K for extra service.

Overall a good trip and would certainly try to comeback or probably go to Tanzania.
