That's probably the reason the driver was surprised.

Also, the walk to New Life is about the same distance from the Parque Berrio metro station as from the Prado station, and there are hardly any unsavory looking characters on the way.

I think I will have to visit Paris Club when I am in Medellin next month.

I must apologize for the lateness of my report. But better late than never right? I want to thank everyone who gave me some input and ideas before this trip, because of you, others and my own due diligence it was a most excellent first visit to Colombia.

My cousins and I went from the 17th to 23rd of September. We stayed in Poblado at an apartment rented through Poblado Rentals, not sure if I can posts websites, but if you need the contact info for them, PM me. Didn't meet the guy, Barry, we rented through, but the process was nice and easy, paid the rest of the down payment and a deposit and we were handed the keys after a brief tour and explanation of the property.

We got down at 12, so it was 1 in the morning by the time we hit the roads. We walked around Poblado a bit but didn't get to Parque Lleras, simply because we didn't know it was there. The one thing we did know about and kept hearing about was Fase II. So we went there. It wasn't packed but it was a lot of dancers in there. We vibed with a view of them, drank, tipped and chatted. They were charging approximately $120 to $200 USD for like 1 or 2 hours to come back with us. As it was our first night we decided to take it easy. So we left and hopped into a taxi right outside. Only to find two girls already in the taxi. The driver was like, no worries, I drop them then you. Then a third girl comes in. So we just pick up on God's gift and chatted them up; instead of going home or wherever, they ended up back by us. $100 apiece, grand ole time.

We visited New Life a few times and Club de Amigas Sexy twice. Club de Amigas was good, it was our first stop, they have about 6 or 7 girls there regularly, great choices IMO. New Life definitely is the place to go, always a handful of beautiful girls to choose from. And when I say beautiful I mean whatever you consider beautiful: Big, skinny, top heavy, bottom heavy, dark, light, they had it all. Hats off to them.

When we finally found out about Parque Lleras we had a grand time there as well, we did bottle service VIP at Club Gusto our last night. This area reminded me more of Sosua, where the girls are basically jumping on you. Not the best pickings for me, but my cousins saw a few things here and there that were worthwhile. Still a good area to visit, a lot more English speaking people.

Oh I do have to mention, my Spanish is decent, I can understand and speak a good amount. Colombia is unforgiving to non-Spanish speakers. So either get you a guide, a phone with a good battery and Google Translator or learn some Spanish!

We rode the cable cars, the train and climbed El Penon de Guatape. We wanted to ride ATV's but didn't get around to it. Medellin is a beautiful country, beautiful women, beautiful mountains, views and more. Definitely was worth the visit and will definitely return. Next year the trip is to Brazil but after that.

I would like to thank these great people specifically who made our Medellin trip amazing:

John 'St Louis' An older gentlemen who we ran into at the Supermarket right across the street from where we were staying. We saw him with a smoking hot girl and couldn't resist chatting him up. He turned out to be our greatest asset. He took us to New Life the first time and gave us so much great advice. He also put us in contact with John 'The Educated Pimp'.

Jimmy 'The Guide' Eccentric! But in a good way, a great guide. Showed us around our first day, give us lots of tips and ideas.

John 'The Educated Pimp' he was able to hook us up with some of the most beautiful girls we dealt with down in Medellin. When we met him, you would not believe he knew all these girls. He looks more like a college teacher's assistant LOL. But he was and is a great guy. Straight forward, polite, and respectful of our time.

Don't mind their titles, it's just what I know / call them by LOL.

All in all amazing trip! A lot of my friends have asked me how it compares to Sosua; which is where I went four year straight before Medellin. It's different, but it depends on who you are and what you are looking for. Me personally, I go to have fun, with different women and activities.

Sosua girls, to me, give you the more full experience. They hang out, they cook, they clean they want to stay around for days, weeks or however long. Medellin, the girls hang out, have their fun and then leave. I prefer the latter for the most part. Sosua has more girls coming to you, you can't walk down the streets without one or two of them coming up to you or calling out to you. Not the case in Medellin, at least outside of Parque Lleras. I've had my fun in both places and I would recommend visiting both! But I will definitely be visiting Colombia again before DR!

I agree. She is one of the WORSTE. I called it off with her after 10 minutes of just dumb nitpicking negotiations. She looks great but she had a horrible attitude. Started asking for tips as soon as we entered the room, balked and then giggled at everything I said as if I was asking her to file documents and get me coffee. Cedula is the Colombian National ID card. Every Colombian is supposed to get one when they turn 18.

If you are in Colombia on any visa other than a tourist visa you need a a cedula de extranjera, a foreigner ID. You can't get a cedula if you are only in Colombia on a tourist visa.

If you received your visa outside of Colombia, you have 15 days to apply for the cedula after you first enter Colombia. If you receive your visa in Colombia, you have 15 days from the date the visa was granted. The cedula is only valid for the duration of your visa.

If you're only a tourist, you don't need to worry about it. If you live here, you need it.

I knew that tourist's were given 90 days without having to get a visa, what I didn't know is that they could also get a 90 day extension on top of that. Excellent.
