I feel your pain bud, but. . .
[QUOTE=Lookin]I am very new at the ISG. Can't even remember how I found it, but it has consumed many hours of my reading time in the past month. I may never get to all of it. The following info is more than likely all old hat to veterans here but for the real new members it may be of interest. My info is based on my experience as a short time member at asianeuro and mycams.
Anyway, I started with mycams.com and I met a Philipine lady in pvt and ended up with her yahoo address and spent much time chatting. I thought we were buds, even though I am past 60, she is 25 but oh so accepting and I relished our chats. Could not imagine getting that acceptance here in the USA A. One day she asked for permission to use my chat name and pass word in Mycams. Of course I did not give it. That was the day of my awakening with her, though I harbor no I'll will or anger toward her. It is just there way of ekeing out a meager living on a day to day. But still loving the young Asian lady's I recently joined asianeuro.com. Posted bio with pic and I was getting hits from Philipine girls as soon as I logged on. By the dozens. They were anywhere from 18 to 55 but mostly in there 20's. I thought I had found Heaven on earth, lots of IT & Nursing students and yes single moms. I have never had that kind of attention from hot young lady's in my entire life. Most get down to business right away. Within a very short time, they ask "are you here to find a life partner/marriage? " I have found that my answer to that one is of critical importance, lest I be dropped like a hot potato. It appears many of these lady's want the commitment from men, and especially any man other than Philipino. I guess those that I have met chatting, just want out. Some or most have no job and spend what little money they have trying to meet there ticket out of P. I. By renting time in internet cafes. I have also been bluntly approached about sending money because the washer is broken and that is how I earn money for my little girl and several other sad story's. I believe many of these storys are true but so hard to think I can really solve these problems for them. Yes I did send a few dollars via regular mail to the first love I met on Mycams. I figured I have donated to the Red Cross and other needy organizations, at least this money will go to somebody I am sure needs it as much as anybody. According to the USA Postal Reg's the Philipine govt. Considers it illegal to send currency via the mail but I hoped it was a small risk and it wasn't much (by our standards) anyway. I don't think the card, with enclosed cash, ever arrived at the address the young lady provided.
Anyway I still love the lovely young Asian lady's and the attention they give me, so I will be back at the meeting site for a few more hours today. Just maybe I will actually visit the P. I. Someday and will then have a few to enjoy a visit with. If I learn the game much better.

You need to go to Angeles City and get some experience first. You sound a little naive. These girls will eat you alive if you go visit them. They are getting money from guys or they wouldn't be on internet. How do you think they pay for it? Most of these girls don't have jobs and if they do, an hour of iinternet is 10% of what they make in a day. Do not send them money.
You should go to Angeles City, it is less expensive than these cam girls will be, trust me. You will get more attention than you ever dreamed there.
Quit saying "someday" and go, it is really affordable.
The difference between virtual reality and reality...
Nice post Lookin' and very honest. I would join the others who have encouraged you to come over here and have a look at the reality on the ground, rather than the willing suspension of disbelief that is the virtual kingdom. I'm not putting you down at all, just adding my words of caution to what others have said. This is an extremely poor country, and some young, pretty women have made separating men from their money, using the web, into an art form and, by local standards, a pretty lucrative career.
Here in Davao, where I live, it's not at all unusual to find ladies in the Internet Cafes chatting with four to five boyfriends or fiancees simultaneously. One girl explained to me her belief that most of the guys would never come over here, and so, by chatting to, and getting involved with several men at the same time, she was multiplying her odds that one of these guys would eventually actually come here, perhaps fall in love with her, and take her the hell out of here. If you think about it, this is not a bad business model.
This is not to imply that all the women on these sites are scam artistes. They are not and there a lots and lots of sincere, honest women here who are desperate to find a foreigner. The age difference is not, for most women, a factor. They seem to be more interested in finding someone who will treat them kindly (which leaves out most local men) and with the wherewithal to provide a better life than the one they're living.
Think about taking two or three weeks to visit the country and, if possible, make plans to visit two or three different cities and different islands. You'll find many of the expats here (including myself) willing to introduce you to "normal" women who have requested introductions to westerners. It is not a place where meeting women is difficult.
Lots of luck.
