I could never afford all these trips as vacations. I am just lucky to be able to hit the Dutch islands a few times a year. C&BP in Miami knows me well. I've been through there over 300 times in the last 20 years and know most of the officers by name. If you are nice with them, they will usually be nice in return. They are always fair and professional. But if you give them reason to suspect you or get even a little belligerent, they can make sure you have a long day.

Stay friendly, polite and cooperative and there won't be a problem, as long as you are clean. Any questions they are asking are just to see if your story makes sense. Even if you were totally up front with them and told them you go to Curacao because it has a great brothel, they can't do anything to you. You enjoyed a legal service from a licensed business. No laws were broken, unless you have a chica packed in your suitcase.

But in general, if you are there on business, be prepared to discuss your business. If you are on vacation, tell them that you had a good time and offer nothing else.

Just avoid clearing in St Thomas. They are corrupt and can make your life VERY miserable. If you go to STT, fly Liat to SXM and go home from there. Then you'll clear in Miami instead of St Thomas. It is well worth the extra time, hassle and expense. And as a bonus, you'll probably have to layover in SXM for the night (if you schedule properly!) , which is always welcome after the dismal P4P scene in STT.

I just tell them as it is more or less, in my friendly manner. I had problems twice. I am planning my own "conjugal" visit to Colombia and would really like to hear how someone else takes the transition from Curacao to Colombia. I am particularly interested in how much more hassle you might find and how much less you might spend.

I'm going to spend three nights with her in her appartment in Bogota. Sightseeing, eating and sex. I agreed to give her $1000. Diana is a real nice person and we laugh a lot and have a good time. I'm not realy into the party sceen so being with one chica is fine with me. No hassels of having a "wife" here in the USA. I work lot's of hours and have no time for any woman bullshit so these little escapades suit me fine. I will report on my trip when I get back on October 11th.

I just spent a few days in Curacao. I've been reading a lot about this place and was really looking forward to it. It didn't disappoint! Women are stunningly beautiful and its standard 50 naf or 30 USD. I always travel on a budget so I took the budget options. Bus from downtown for $1 USD and they run up to 11pm. One night I started there till 3am and got a taxi back for $20. After a lot of hard bargaining.

I slept with Lorraina and another chick. Both around 27 yrs old.

On Friday and Thursday the camp was empty. Lots of his not many girls; but no shows and dance floor empty! It's definitely experience worth doing but unless you are really really into Latin women (I'm!) Then I would suggest going to Pattaya (heaven on earth. I'm staying to like that woman). Your the same price as campo's 15-30 minute session you can have a girl over night with everything included (I love kissing!). Most that girls will do everything. Without protection if that's your thing.

I agree that there is nothing better than Thailand for value. I want to retire there. But for those of us stuck in the US, Curacao is as close to heaven as we can get.

Horace.[/QUOTE]You got me interested since I am planning a trip. Barba mentions carvahome in a post from this summer. They have cars without AC for $20 a day plus tax. With AC is $28. 50 plus tax. Avis is showing $30 for the cheapest car (with AC).

For a car rental, can I just show up to the place and rent a car or should I book it in advance? Is a car necessary (I will be going to Campo only I think).

What is it like to drive in Curacao? Chaos?

I would rent the car because the only way to get around is either by car or taxi. Driving is fine in Curacao, the rental cars suck as compared to what you get in the USA. Good enough to get you from your hotel to campo and the beaches.
