If possible.[/QUOTE]What's considered "sleazy" to one person, might not be considered sleazy to another. You mention Soi Cowboy and Nana, those are red light districts in the massive city of Bangkok. I don't think you can compare Sosua to Bangkok, and the entire town of Sosua is not a red light district. If you look at it from the point of view of a local, it's just every day life. Whether you live in Pattaya, Bangkok, Amsterdam, or Sosua. You might know the areas where prostitution is very visible, but it just becomes a part of you life.

If you live in the United States where prostitution is illegal (with the exception of a few counties in Nevada) and travel to a place like Sosua and are walking around Pedro Clisante in the late afternoon and evening hours, of course you might consider it sleazy. It's not the norm for you, it's not something that blends into your daily life. Same thing if you went to Pattaya and decided to venture out to Walking Street. However, if you are a local, have a job and a daily routine. You tend to ignore these things because it's just a part of your life.

Also, no place is not "sleazy". Dishonest and immoral acts occur anywhere, whether in a red light district, a back alley in a ghetto part of a city, or in the home of any ordinary person. If you're limiting "sleazy" to just prostitution, you're an idiot.

That's the sleaze factor, not that they're both third world (sorry, "developing" And it's a small percentage of workers in Sosua who are not selling it. Every Dominican knows what Sosua is there for. And Amsterdam's not sleazy at all. No street walkers at all, no money changers, etc. Either is Vegas for that matter and there's a hell of a lot of sex going on there. Just ask any taxi driver.
