I stand corrected in that I forgot the value of a driver's license for when you need to use a credit card, because of course I do not recommend using credit cards. I rather suspect you could use any laminated expired ID with a credit card as well because they usually don't even know what the hell ID you are handing them. I have an expired food handler's card with my picture that I use in the grocery store here in Central América on the rare occasions I use my credit card.
I don't know how many of you guys have tried to get a new driver's license from scratch in the states recently but it ain't easy and so I would not be wanting to carry my driver's license around and do not. I have the passport card and would recommend that as an alternative.
As an aside, I was once able to rent a car in Chile with a driver's license that had been expired for a couple of months because of the whole thing about day / month / year versus the stupid US system of month / day / year for birthdates and expiration dates.
Just to give a general heads' up, losing or replacing your driver's license is way way WAY more hassle than it used to be. You are not going to walk out of the DMV with a new license. They are going to want to mail it to you to prove you live where you say you do. You have to verify your citizenship and your Social Security number and your address and it is a genuine fucking pain in the ass.

A lot of the hotels had pet snakes. It's possible I am wrong after 40 years but I am pretty sure the name of my hotel was El Parador Ticuña. They had these trained parrots that smoked cigarettes and did shots. In Leticia, at least back then, there were houses set on posts by the river. The houses had two stories and during the dry season both stories were usable and then in the wet season when the river rose, everything went up to the top level.

But I have been to Iquitos across the border in Peru. Same deal there. Everything revolves around the wet and dry seasons.
Yes, Iquitos and Leticia have many similarities, including a lot of pussy. It has been 40 years since I was in Leticia and almost twenty since I was in Iquitos, but I will say I really enjoyed Leticia and I fucking hated Iquitos. But in general I don't like Perú very much so that could be part of it. The forum has quite a bit of information on Iquitos, which is a considerably larger town.
Just returned from Medellin. TSA dude asked me why I keep on returning to Colombia. Also asked whether I have seen more than one woman. Also insinuated that I might be seeing minors? I was like NO. I don't date minors. I just like to go there because I like their culture. How do you fellow mongers handle these kind of the questions?

TSA is security and only concerned about what you are carrying in your bag and on your person, not what you were doing in another location. As a matter of fact, if you are not making a connecting flight once you land in the USA, you will not even see TSA. And if you do see TSA, there is no way they would have known you keep returning to Colombia, because all they see is the ticket you show them for your next flight along with your ID. So maybe you meant it was immigration.
What do you mean how do you handle the questions? You answer them honestly. It is not like you have been doing anything wrong (unless you have.) You most definitely do not want to get caught in a lie though. Immigration stopped a friend of mine leaving the USA. When he told them he was going to see his girlfriend in Thailand, they made him call her. So if you really don't have a girlfriend there don't fuck yourself over trying to be slick.

Like I said, your worst nightmare is going to come if you are caught lying, not if you are telling the truth about something that is not illegal. So you would advise someone to risk getting caught in a lie instead? Because when you say you have a girlfriend and you do not have anyone to call that is going to say they are your girlfriend and give matching details on your relationship, that is going to turn into your worst nightmare.
Why do you think an immigration agent cares if you are fucking hookers? The only way they will give a shit is if they are under 18. They care if you are bringing shit back into the country that you should not, and if you have been involved in any illegal activity. Otherwise there is nothing to worry about.

I told him because it's nice and it's cheap. Then he said him and his wife stayed there for a bit, and in a suspicious tone he said just tell me the truth. Haha yeah right I'm not going to tell him I'm going to bang hookers. He probably met his wife there and she was a hooker.
I didn't do a very good job with my 1st trip reports, were in several sections and not very detailed. So I went back and re-wrote my 3 trip reports from this year so some of this will be familiar from earlier.
MED trip 1.
Feb 2017-My 1st trip to Colombia.
Last minute decision, was going to take my local US sugar baby to Puerto Rico (she could go there without a passport) and stay in old San Juan. She got sketchy about responding to txts or keeping dates so I thought where could I go myself that might be more fun?
Online research lead me to Colombia as a cheap and short flight and a great exchange rate with very pretty women. Due to alt, Bogota to high, Cartagena too low (and I don't like Cruise ports) I picked Medellin. Read the last 500 pages of this thread, IE ISG: MED Trip Reports. Some so I'd know where to go and what to pay and the rest looking for how things went wrong on trips, ie-ripped off / robbed / killed etc. I mapped all my foot routes to some Casa's, strip clubs & redlight blocks on Google StreetView. Picked busier roads with more foot traffic. Picked out some nice restaurants on Trip Advisor and made some dates on SeekingArrangements since I was already a member.
I had lived in Central America for 5 years and am fluent in Spanish and have lived in some scary parts of Wash DC and been to central Asia & and Africa so I have experience in large dangerous cities, foreign & domestic.
Flew American Airlines $470 RT out of Tampa via Miami. 3-1/2 HR flight, same time zone which is nice. Got Colombian currency online from Bank of America before I went.
Took the 9 kcop airport bus to Hotel Botero, Cra. 50 a #53-45.

Right behind the Hotel Nutribara and where the buses to the airport park. 15 story-$26 a night, hot water, walk in showers, great views of the mountains from the upper floors, 1/2 block to the ATM in Hotel Nutribara, 24 HR restaurant and grocery store around the corner, WiFi sometimes in the room, always in lobby, hot water, clean beds, mini fridge, 42 flat-screen, the A/C sucks, I doubt there's any Freon in the units but both windows open, ask for a fan, ask for mini-fridge, get a high floor on the west side of the building (opposite the side you come in the lobby on). It's in El Centro (aka La Candelaria) which my research indicated was the somewhat unsafe downtown area, the center of Casa's and strip clubs and redlight blocks. The hotel is across the street from the Casa Yakuza that stays open as late as 4 am, around the corner from Chicas Punta on Calle 54 and about a block & 1/2 to 3 strip clubs, Maracaibo, Barre Ejectiva and Conejitas, all lower price local's joints. And 2 redlight blocks, one behind Igesia VeraCruz, one in the Raudal area. Put strip club Fase-II on the lists of places to go check out cause I don't mind enhanced women and looked like they had some super hot ones.

1st day: Fri, did a Yakuza girl for 40 k right after I got to the hotel from the airport as it was right across the street, was sort of depressing given how horrible the room was, sort of a mattress on a plywood board with a strong una-bomber shack vibe. I know it's a lower end Casa but it was raining and across the street. They showed me like 4 girls, picked the one with big naturals, she was fun enough but we were 1 sheet of plywood away from all the locals sitting in the main room which I did not enjoy, found later they do free takeout to close by hotels. Room with Jacuzzi and steam room for 4 hrs, 50,000 cop, then back to my hotel for more fun, then more in morning before she left, GFE, was worth it. (was on about 3 hrs sleep from the early trip to the airport though).
I LOVE Centro, so vibrant and full of life and people in the day, we did do a 2 am run in a taxi to score some weed for her, WOW, cross between Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and Dawn of the Dead, some scary areas that time of night. The taxi driver just slowed down for red lights.
Sat, Centro walk around the church redlight block, Iglesia de la Veracruz, picked a cute little spinner, turned out to have the wrong chromosomes, let her go, we had already gotten to the room, I didn't ask for the 30 k back, didn't want any issues over $10, not in that part of town.
Lesson learned, check more carefully.
Walked over to Calle 53/ Carrera 54, Raudal No 3 area, more mature set of chicks on avg, but too many locals standing around drinking so I took off and went in Conejitas Show Bar, CL. 53 #51-41 across from Botero Park. I liked it, about 60 girls working (Sat night) with the top 5+ being Doll House quality I though, made a date with one of them for tomorrow as I had my 2nd SA date coming up Sat night, offered her 150,000 to come to my hotel, kinda of rough local crowd but I had no problems, some drunk dudes at a nearby table even bought me a shot. I thought "I've been wanting to try some Scopolamine!" (also known as Burundanga) but turning down some drunk guys didn't seem like a good idea either so I did the shot. My plan was if I started to feel weird to run the block and a half to my hotel and lock myself in my room. But no problems.

300 k TLN, a little thick but not fat, nice bolts on's, but what a party girl. Showed up in a uber, I hopped in and we went to La Hacienda for dinner, I picked it off trip advisor, does traditional Colombian in a nice setting, upstairs with balcony overlooking Calle 49 Junin walking street. Then she wants to go her best friends bar, El Bar de Mao's, that was across from Parque de Boston, quite a lively place on Sat night with jugglers and food vendors and games and unfortunately temp tattoo artists, she wanted one for both of us and picked out a large black panther for me. I did tell her to order what she wanted which turned out to be a bottle of Absolute, beers, sodas mixers, redbull mixers, about 120,000 cop. She didn't want to leave, then she scored a g of powder for 9 k, then wanted to go dancing, I said I did not, then she really wanted to go to some house party, I really didn't want to do that, no thanks, finally said around midnight I was getting a taxi to my hotel and she was welcome to come. She hopped in, was fun in bed when she wasn't hopping out every 3 min's to put some Youtube song on she liked. Once we were there though she started sneezing bad and it got worse, obviously very allergic to something, gave a her a benadryl, not sure it helped as she got worse, started getting red on her chest etc so I sent her home, she was not as fun in bed, no kissing, no DATY, but I enjoyed the dinner and the local bar so it was a fun night all together.
Sunday:
2nd attempt at street corner girl in Centro, did another walk around the Iglesia De La Veracruz block around 2 pm Sunday. Saw a little spinner beboping on the corner with some other girlies drinking a beer, talked to her, told her what happened the day before, assured me she was female, asked if she has ID, said she was 20 yo, showed me her ID ("cedula" 30 k cop, up the stairs to a OK love shack, clean, bathroom, shower, she was about 90 lbs of tight fun, tipped her 20 k cause she was so cute, a OK nooner before I go back to Conejitas Show Bar although I expect less quality on a Sun night vs last night. Had a flight out at 2 pm Tues so got up at 7 am, showered packed, breakfast then around Veracruz church, girls already out at 8 am, nobody I liked till 10, picked another 20 yo spinner, 30 k, gave her 50 k, showered in the room she got us after, grabbed my bags from the hotel, took the bus to the airport at 11 am-both my rides on the bus were in the 1 HR 15 min range so take that into account, also the American Airlines line was 45 min long, and then they pulled me out of line for the backroom X-ray cavity search, made my plane with like 2 minutes to spare.
In conclusion had fun on both my SA dates, great sex on one, ok on the other, got great GFE from the Conejita girl and enjoyed myself more then the 30 k hookups but I like the longer dates more then the wham-bam-thankyou-Ma'am.

I was like what laws, I don't know what you're talking about. I told him that if I had broken any laws the Colombian police would have arrested me. He was like how would they know? I was like that's exactly what I mean. I go there to have a good time like dancing salsa etc. He was like you can dance salsa right here in America. I was like I like it there because clubs close late and it's a different ambiance. He was like no, it's go to be about the women. I was like not really, but if I come across to an attractive one of course I would consider that. He also wanted to know the names of the hotel that I had stayed in over the last few trips. In short I didn't lie about anything. So you are suggesting telling them that you were there to fuck hookers?
