Since the beginning of the new year, I have crossed by foot via the San Ysidro entry 5 times. Each time, I did not see anyone fill-out a FMM form to enter Mexico. They either dropped the requirement or I may cross too early. I cannot speak for later in the evenings. Has anyone else noticed this change?
Occasionally if there is immigration employee manning the booth they will use the FMM form. It just depends who is on duty at the time. I just glad they stopped scamming people with $30 FMM fee for 1 day trips. !!

Lots of taxis de Ruta pass by there, on the way to the outlying residential areas.
How does one find these incall providers & confirm their location nearby the club / hotel.
Is there much else to do around La Cueva club?

I go I tell him good afternoon just going to Tijuana for 1 night. In Spanish is I tell him. Most of the people filling it out are couples likely going on vacation. At this point I have run out of room for stamps maybe I have 2 spots left.
Hey all, first post here. Been reading lots here in anticipation of my first mongering trip to Tijuana. I plan on going for a weekend this spring. Would you recommend my staying at Cascadas and focusing on HK to get my feet (et-al) wet? I'm sure I'll venture out a little from there and at least pursue the street action. I feel pretty street smart, but don't want to find any trouble. Should I keep my passport on me or keep it in my room?
Also, what's the "shared apartment" scene I've seen mentioned here. Sounds interesting but I don't get it.

Thanks in advance![/QUOTE]If you Google you'll find several escort-related sites in Tijuana. The least-expensive options are girls who do what is called "in-call" in the USA. In these cases the girl rents an apartment and sees clients. Sometimes the apartment is shared with other girls. Occasionally the girl actually lives there.
The process is you contact her, you set up an appointment, you go there, you have fun, you pay and you leave. But this is NOT the scene for newbies and you must be at least conversant in Spanish. I've had mostly good luck, but a couple of duds and flakes.

Depends what you are looking to do? Are you talking about girls or actual things to do like shopping, restaurants, movies?
I think the more information on what you like to do would help those of us that are familiar with Tijuana to assist you in finding what your looking for.

The "shared apartment" I assume is the casas or apartments that have multiple girls working in them. Not sure what part you don't get. Read the recent post by Urfikhan and if you have a more specific question I'd post it in that section. If it's your first visit to Tijuana you might be better off just getting your feet wet in the Zona and look into escorts or casas on your next visit if the Zona wasn't your thing.
I noticed recently that the white van with the blue and ligh stripe t bluefaster going ride back to the border. This takea a more direct route. The only down side it drops you off on Av de la Amistad. This is just east of the side of old shopping center just east of the pedestrian bridge. So you save about 10 minutes going back to the border. I am not certain what times this van stops running. I believe around 8. But need to ask.

One question of yours nobody answered was about caring your passport. Definitely no reason for that. Keep it in your hotel and just have your regular ID on you and you'll be fine.

In theory, policia can detain you if you don't have them on you if they really wanted to is my understanding. Though in all my years going to Tijuana I've never had policia stop me or ask me for those documents, to the point where I'm very comfortable not carrying them around when I'm out and about in Tijuana as it can be a bit of a pain in the ass to have that stuff on you at all times.

I also don't due the FFM since I drive across and it has never been an issue.

It was popular to carry cash in your socks rather than in your wallet to avoid having your money confiscated. They don't check like that now. I have a small passport card and money in my wallet in a closed zipper pocket.
