I was a victim of this scam. She blackmailed me and asked for 5000. Told her I am going to report cyber crime. She didn't care and kept harassing me We finally agreed for 500 and settle. She still kept harassing even after I sent 500. Asked me to send 500 more. So I sent again. But still kept harassing. So I finally blocked her.

After a week. Got a call from a number when I verified true called it said CBI Crime Branch. The person on phone gave a number saying Youtube. They asked me the details regarding the matter and started demanding 5000 rupees to remove the content from all accounts or else they will give the video to news channel. It looks like a big mafia to me. Please don't give them a penny. They can't do any shit. Just block the number.

So please use few rules in mongering if you don't want to get caught.

1. No digital transactions avoid payTM, all other e -wallets.

2. Use separate phone and sim card for WA chats (Never make any GSM calls to any SP or Indie, always turn off location.).

3. Use VOIP to make calls.

4. Never tell your real name. Use any random name.

5. don't carry your wallets to action place.

If you give them your usual number which you use, they'll easily find your every social media account.

Almost all social media accounts require your number for sign-up, especially the ones like snapchat. Once they have your number, you'll show up in their suggestions, hike, instagram, imo etc will all show you in their suggestions, few of them even give notifications like "Hey! Your friend 'so and so' is on Messenger / imo". Once you give them your number, it's very easy for them to find your social media accounts and from there your friends and family.

If you meet them on social media, then Its important to check your privacy settings, you might think the number is a namesake requirment for signup but if the settings are not right, they can easily find your number from your profile. Facebook is the easiest way to find your number.

These two are the only ways they use, the other means require a lot of effort and skill which they do not put into use as the person may or may not fall for their scam tactics. So it's not worth for them to put in effort anything greater than this.

About the blackmail, I know someone who had faced this. He handled it like a boss, he told them, I don't give a rats ass of what you do. Never block them, just ignore their messages, they'll keep you up with what they are going to do, sometimes it'll be like YouTube upload which will be taken down by the youtube itself.

If you show them that you're shit scared they'll scare you even more, if you dish out the amount that they've asked, they'll comeback for more cause it's obvious to them that you've paid them once to protect your image why not more?

The answer to this is, just portray yourself as a person who doesn't care shit about his image in society, make claims and say stuff that is like "bleh, it's not a secret that I am horney and sleep around. Go ahead and uplao, also make sure to give me the links, I'll show it to my girls 🤟.

And if they do upload and give you links, just report them, the videos will be taken down, especially from the most known porn sites.

When encountering these blackmailers one should never show an ounce of cowardice or shame if not they going to milk you like a cow. Most of the time nothing will happen but if you pay even one rupee and they going to keep demanding more and more and you will just feel trapped.

My 2 cents:

The more we piss our pants, the more you are chased and hounded. These scammers only motto is to exploit the fear and create an artificial insurmountable pressure on social castigation, this rarely happens unless you want it to happen. Your reaction is the key to handle there asses.

Generally they re persuasive to a point of mental breakdown as they have nothing to lose, you have precious money to lose if you blink first. First of all, please take screenshots of all conversations.

Make a artificial notice which is available on public domain freely, and then paste " on unknown personnel " on it and send it back to them if and when they contact you. Trust me they will blink, offense is the best defense.

Mongering is risk, so if we took it to pleasure oneself then the risk of fighting back radicals is just 10% of pleasure we derive of humping on hard earned money.

I will write back with all relevant sections which can be pasted on scammers.

Till then peace out and don't panic. Be calm and to hell with the blackmailers. Your fear is the key.
