Rio de Janeiro Reports

Well, I touched down in Rio at midnight on Friday and got to my hotel in Copa (Pestana) around 2 am which was a breath of fresh air after 12 hours in transit. It's a nice enough hotel, but it definitely shows some signs of wear and tear. Things like bad caulking, worn down furniture but it will do for the price I got it at. The majority of my first day was spent getting a lay of the land, spending some time on the beach, and stocking up on the essentials like snacks and water. My plan is to try the different options that are available in Rio and I'll start with some of the closer termas before branching out into the terapias, darkside termas, and online game.

Day 1.

Being that I was a bit tired, I decided to switch up my schedule and hit Monte Carlo first around 6:30 pm rather than head down to Centaurus. Overall, it is definitely a smaller venue than I expected but I didn't have much time to consider that as I was immediately mobbed by a few girls looking to start my trip off right. I counted around 10 ladies in the bar with the majority being 7/10 and a couple of stunners. Luckily one of the stunning girls mobbed me in the beginning so I didn't have to shoo away the others too hard and I ended up picking a smaller branca who had a "smart fit" (which is more my style) look rather than the huge bunda type that seems to be more common here. I followed the advice of some good veterans here and made sure pick up my tongue off the ground and ask her a few questions before just taking her upstairs (What will you do for me? Well the amenities were fairly nice and the bar was a bit more spacious so that is a plus. There were about 15 girls and I would say that about 10 of them were doable and 6 were very attractive. I got the same mob treatment here so keep that in mind if you are hitting termas. In the end, I picked up a super cute morena with curly brown hair. She had really young look (I would have guessed around 19-20 but she was 27 haha. She told me most of the girls claim they are 18-20 for their older clients and this tracks with my experience around the world.). She didn't speak any English but we got by with my Spanish and a bit of google translate to help. I ended up picking a 1 hour session because I wanted to have a bit more time. I had a feeling that things were going to be good because I felt that we had good chemistry. I know this can be a foolish thing to consider, but luckily my intuition was right. This was like my day one experience but even better. I guess she was really horny or something because we barely had time to DFK before she suited me up and went to work. So far, my experiences in the Tier 1 termas have been great. But if you have good chemistry with a girl, then google translate will be fine and may even be a bit fun for a longer conversation. Small sample size but the service in Brazil has been otherworldly. It is always a good sign to see women use you to pleasure themselves so I have no complaints. Sunday is going to be a work day for me so I won't be active, but I'll return on Monday and try out some of the cheaper options in Centro. Overall, I feel like the tier 1 options have been worth their price because they are easy to get to, the quality of girls was good, and the service was great. This may change if the cheaper options prove to match that for a better price, but I'll reserve judgement until I try it.

Ages ago I read an MSM hatchet job on the ISG and other related hobby forums which was predictably judgmental with all the usual canards and crude judgements. Vagabundo- you are indeed a fascinating character- your writing stood out enough for me to mention it to a friend as notable and colorful before even posting here or arriving on the ground. Some excellent insights here. I lack the sophisticated erudition of some here, but know enough history to make what I hope is useful.

Taking the analogy further, compare Colonel Kilgore to Colonel Kurtz and ask who is more insane. The comparative madness is a very old narrative, such as Kesey "one Flew Over the Cuckooos Nest". The same questioning of "reality" and self is an age old question.

First let me say I put the blame on my shoulders for not being specific enough when I went on a tour of the hotel. During the tour, the manager asked if I would be staying alone and I said yes, but I will have female friends come to visit me, he replied that it wouldn't be a problem as long as I registered as 2 people. Well. That wasn't exactly the case.

The hotel is nice and I love the view from the 11th floor but there is my HUGE problem with the hotel. I had a girl come visit me last night for a couple of hours and the night manager asked if she was staying the night because if she was, I would have to pay a charge! I was like WTF? A charge for what? I registered as 2 people.

So this morning, I went and spoke to the manager who is also the one who showed me the hotel and asked what the issue was. Apparently, you can have guest come to see you during the day, but I can only have ONE female stay the night for free. If I change females, then I have to pay 85 fucking reais per person! I never had to deal with this before in a hotel, where I could only have one guest registered.

I am happy that I only payed for 1 week, so I will switch hotels next week and stay at IBIS. I wish the manager had been more specific and explained that I couldn't change females every night because I wouldn't be staying here. I know 85 reais is not a lot of money but it adds up over 3 weeks and it the point that why register as 2 people if I still have to pay a charge when I have a female over. In addition, i now have to add basically another 100 reais to what ever i negotiate with the female. Complete bullshit!

I will start calling girls over in the afternoon and I hope there is no fucking games with management when I do that!

Unfortunately, guest friendly hotels in Rio and elsewhere can many times be a moving target. If the manager isn't changing the rules during your stay, the night manager is trying to change them.

I have had the annoying "I paid for a double room for two guests." conversation a few times. Sometimes they relented and sometimes I've been forced to find another hotel. I guess that's why I've migrated to short-term rental units.

It's a pain in the ass, because sometimes you want the service and amenities of a hotel.

You aren't the first monger staying in his establishment, and he knows exactly what the score is. Not even mentioning that if you had ONE girl, you could just check in with her and that's it, no need for all that bullshit.

Before you go to IBIS, check Portobay. Great location, and I've heard good things about its girlfriendliness. You might, however, want to try to reconfirm that with the hotel.
