If you want to visit the central areas like La Vega and Jarabacoa, or Samana in the East, then, yes, a car may be worthwhile. With a group of guys to share the costs, a rental car, with or without driver, is more cost effective than for a single person.

I would avoid trying to do too much on your first trip. You will lose the best part of two days travelling to and from SD. There is plenty to see and do in Sosua, Puerto Plata and Cabarete to fill the remaining days. You will hopefully find one or two nice semi-pros you will want to hang with for a couple of days, maybe spend a couple at Blackbeards, and leave space to hook up with other mongers for outings and parties.

It is often said that those who were themselves abused as children often grow up to be abusers, although intuitively you might expect the reverse, so you never really know. I don't think women ever really love men. Evolution drives them to do what is best for their children. But we can still have fun with them and play at Happy Families because that is part of the human experience.

When I invite chicas over we do everything from drinking, dancing, watching tv, eating, and conversing. The great thing about Colombia in general is there is no "strip" for her to race back to like in Sosua, so all of my experiences are non-rushed (plus or minus one or two rush jobs in the past).

I have chicas I have fucked on every single return trip since going to Colombia in 2012. I don't think they would agree to meet me over and over again if they saw me as some jerk asshole. There are plenty of other guys' money they could take if that were the case.

Sosua is now my primary target. If I decide to just stay in easy reach of Sosua, I will stick with public transport. If I feel the urge to wander further afield, I'll rent a car for 3 days, drive to some interesting sites, spend the night somewhere off the standard monger map, repeat, then return to Sosua.

For me, I don't consider the trip from and back to SD lost time. There will be new scenery and people to watch. If I had the time and money, I'd load up a jeep and spend a month or two exploring the country. Certainly, spending every night with a different sweet young chica and every day swapping stories with the gang is appealing, but so is seeing what is over the next hill.
