Howdy guys. First time here and possibly last as I rarely travel.

BUT What a city you guys have here. I have been here less than 24 hours and I already have a sore neck from my walks around Santa Cruz and Poblado. I am older and despite the multiple options, I prefer the lazy call girl to my hotel method.

CFK was still president when I left and almost all the clubs had been shut down already.

You selected a pretty good representation. Most of them are in Centro so check for recommended hotels on this forum. The Nutibara is a nice compromise between the ultra low end and the nicer but farther away places in Poblado. Have fun!

Sparse accommodations is what you will be limited to if you want chica friendly hotels near the casas in El Centro. Being in El Centro might also hurt your chances with any CC hookups. They are looking to get out of the poor neighborhood.

You have 2 other options outside of El Centro, either Poblado or Laureles. Chica friendly is still going to be a problem, unless you go with an AirBnB, or other apartment rental. Taxis are reasonable.

Many of the casas are open on Sunday, but Energy is closed. Your best bet from the airport is either one of the white taxis for 65 k or to schedule with one of the women who provides airport transportation. Search the forum for Vico Zul.

Search the Medellin Hotels thread for apartment information.

I have found Citibank gives the most $$s per transaction. This is important if your bank stateside charges a fee per transaction. In the past, I could pull 1. 5 mil pesos. Now, it seems to be capped at 1. 1 mil, around $360 usd. Hotel Nutibara seems to be the go to slightly upscale hotel in centro for mongers on this board.

Showdown.[/QUOTE]It is very convenient to get money from the Bancolombia ATM's at the airport. When you exit baggage claim, stay inside the airport past the first exit doors onto the sidewalk. Less than 100 feet past those exit doors, there are two Bancolombia ATM's on the right side. Last week, I got 600,000 COP (about $200). I tried to get another 600,000, but it refused. Bancolombia does not charge any fees for using their ATM's.

I have never tried to get Uber from the airport. I imagine it is very hit and miss. There may be a driver hanging around if he has just dropped someone off. Just outside the ATM's, to the right, there should be taxis. Most of them are white, but there may be some yellow ones there. They should have some official markings to indicate they are official. I don't think the airport allows gypsy taxis in that area. You will go past people outside of baggage claim asking if you want a taxi. I have never went with any of those, but my guess is they are probably gypsy drivers. There is a set rate from the airport to downtown. I think the white taxis are 60,000 and the yellow are 65,000. Confirm before you leave the airport. Either will take you directly to your hotel. Uber or a taxi is your best bet late at night.

Most brothels are open on Sunday, but not as many hours as other days.

I don't know enough about the casas to recommend any.
